Ex Rivers Gov. Amaechi Slams Wike’s Probe of His Administration | Says He Belongs in Nollywood

Former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, is unhappy with present governor Nyesom Wike‘s probe of his administration.

Accusing Wike playing out a script full of lies, Amaechi recommended that Wike should employ his skills in Nollywood.

This and more were contained in a statement released by the former governor’s media Office on Sunday.

Read the statement, as reported by ThisDay:

This so called Wike’s probe of Amaechi is dead on arrival. All the noise Wike is making is to grab media headlines with his lies of monumental corruption against Amaechi. It’s all drama made for the media. What is playing out is a script written and directed by  Wike. Wike should move to Nollywood where his devious skills would probably be useful.

Even while inaugurating his yeoman commission of Inquiry, Wike could not conceal his vendetta agenda. He was clear to the panel members that their job is to indict Amaechi.”

While it’s no longer in doubt what would be the report of Wike’s sham probe commission. What may shock Nigerians is the extent Wike has gone and is ready to go to manufacture stories of corrupt practices, and the kind of bogus tales of corruption against Amaechi that he would soon be feeding the nation.

We are aware that even the Chairman of his Inquiry Commission, was shocked and protested when Wike gave him the litany of phony claims of corruption against Amaechi that the chairman would write in the panel’s report. But Wike had assured him not to worry that he had since been working towards arriving at that conclusion and he would provide the commission with all the (fake) evidence needed to arrive at that report.

Truly, since May 29, that is all Wike has been doing; cooking spurious reports of corruption against Amaechi. Wike has been intimidating, threatening, coercing and blackmailing officials of the past administration, especially civil servants into making false, phony and bogus statements that would make legitimate government transactions appear as corrupt practices. Permanent Secretaries, Directors of Finance and Administration (DFAs), the State bankers and even contractors are harassed, threatened and blackmailed to twist and distort, or even completely alter legitimate government transactions in his desperation to cook up, and fabricate sham cases of corruption against Amaechi. This has been the one-point agenda of the Wike government, a vendetta mission against his former boss and benefactor.

Amaechi will use every constitutional and legal means available to protect his name and image from this massive smear campaign, state-sponsored onslaught against him by this directionless, purposeless Wike-led government. As governor, Amaechi served his people well and the good things he did with the resources of the state are visible all over the state.”

On the claims by his former deputy, Ikuru while presenting a report to Wike, the statement condemned Ikuru.

We won’t dignify him with a response. He’s such a worthless piece of trash that we won’t waste our energy on. This is a man with no dignity, no shame. No self-respecting man would talk the way Ikuru is talking right now. This is a character that served the Amaechi administration for almost eight years. While he was there, he never for once complained that Amaechi or the government that he was the second-in-command was corrupt. As a matter of fact, he was singing and parroting everywhere that Rivers State was truly blessed to have a governor like Amaechi, that Amaechi will always be remembered and hailed for changing for good the fortunes of Rivers State.

Today, the shameless clown is the one shouting Amaechi is corrupt, everywhere. If the government was as corrupt as he claims, what was he doing there for almost eight years, telling the world that Amaechi is the best thing to happen to Rivers State? No character, no self-respect, no dignity, no shame. A character like Ikuru should never be taken seriously, the statement concluded.

I read this statement elsewhere and l was not surprised one bit. Dat is our former Gov in Rivers State for you. Amaechi who during his transition service in CHURCH said “……God says we should forgive all our enemies. I forgive all my enemies but, l will never forgive Wike…..” That Amaechi is psychologically in trouble is so obvious that it is a shame no one is able to call him to order. The sychophants around him are too terrified to tell him the truth. This is what happens when you are the only one with money in your circle/family and values are in short supply. With Amaechi being one of his Major sponsors, Buhari has his work cut out for him.

I think that Amaechi has no sense of shame and very childish. Why do this man behave as if he is above everybody? Why the arrogance.? Am ashame that democracy throw all kinds of characters to the public space to rule us but Amaechi is everything wrong with the system and Nigerians needs to be more circumspect and very careful cum 2019.

@Ekere Nelson. .. Nigerians can only vote for candidates given to them. Our king makers, for once, should shun selfishness and give us good candidates. For all the manpower in Nigeria, I don’t think that is asking for too much.

If you live (or rcently lived) in Rivers state e.g Port Harcourt, you will know that a probe of Amaechi’s regime wil definitely throw-up much that will be unsavoury. His second term had little or nothing to comend it.

The tragedy for all of us, is that what happened in Rivers happened in many other places and will probably still happen if the kind of destructive politics that the state experienced on account of the imbroglio between Amaechi and GEJ with Mama Peace. It is indeed a true example of the saying that where 2 elephants fight, the grass mourns.

Within Amaechi’s 2nd term, Rivers State mourned and morned…. The difference between his 1st and 2nd terms are so clear, it will be near-impossible to explain how revenue of the 1st term could do so much while little or nothing is evident from that of the 2nd term. A probe definitely must throw-up a lot of rots.

Even listening to Amaechi’s respected Commissioner for information justify retention of cars, not car but cars by each past government funtionary tells one that a lot of ‘below-board’ things happened. Pray tell me, how Amaechi secure and sustain a chesive assembly and executive for at least 3years in the face of the ferocious attack from his nemesis- Mama Peace especially? The fight for his political life could not have come at a cheap cost- cost borne the people of Rivers State, not minding that Amaechi could not have had much choice in fighting back. It was a terribly messy situation and the parties mercillessly exposed the state to massive hemorrhage for selfish personal and political interests.

It’s a pity that Rivers State has been governed by the likes of these for the past 16 years. Cultists have been running the state and only God can deliver us. Ogboni membership is the order of the day in the state. Baba God, we are in Your Hands!

What a bunch of losers. This is a case of pot calling kettle black. Odili empowered Amaechi who later turned on him, Amaechi further empowered another Odilis boy (Wike) who also turned on him (Amaechi). Now the Odilis are free to return to PH from their Amaechi-imposed exile since Abuja is no longer comfy (Amaechi’s ppl have taken over) and Amaechi is no longer welcome in PHC.

When will our redemption from these losers come? Even Dakuku was nothing write home about but I will refrain from mentioning the atrocities of his university days for now. Tufia!

Amaechi be still. Let Wike probe him. Hopefully there will be a reason for him and his brother Ohakim to go spend sometime in jail. O how I will love that. I know I’m dreaming but dreams can come true.
