PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh on Sunday released a statement on behalf of the party, stating that President Muhammadu Buhari has done virtually nothing during his first 30 days in office.
Here is a summary of the statement, as reported by Vanguard:
National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has pleaded with Nigerians to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress, APC, saying that thirty days in government has been a case of all motion, no movement.

In a statement by PDP National Publicity Secretary,  Olisa Metuh, the need to pray for President Buhari has become imperative because it was a very sad story that having been elected March 28, he was yet to decide on key appointments such as ministers, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), a Chief of Staff and advisers in key sectors of the economy.

According to PDP, the APC was yet to get its bearings right, adding that the new administration was showing no inclination towards implementing its numerous campaign promises for which they were voted into office at the centre.

Metuh said, “After a careful evaluation of the first 30 days of President Muhammadu Buhari and All Progressives Congress (APC)’s administration, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) notes that it has become obvious that Nigerians need to join hands in prayers to save the government from further inaction and dithering.

Religion is one of the problems we have in this country. What has prayers got to do with the issue at hand? The man is sleeping on duty because he is old. Period. The politically intelligent people around him should wake him up. Nigerians are becoming restless. No one seems to know what is going on due to the lack of, or unclear policy direction of this govt. The high intrigue that characterise the Nigerian politics of today is beyond Buhari. Why APC will foist this disaster on Nigeria only goes to show the insatiable greed of man. Except of course we are saying Buhari is the best 2015 Nigeria has to offer.

The Daura Dullard has only two years to perform magic. By 2021 the jostle for 2019 would have started. What a waste.

Much better than the rule of the Otuoke Drunkard that saw a spike in terrorism, decline in the standard of living, large-scale corruption and unending lawlessness.
I’d rather have an old, “Daura Dullard” with a bit of integrity for a President than an corrupt, obnoxious, wayward, incoherent, unintelligent, weak, clueless, inept, confused, lost, potbellied Ijaw Idiot.

Buhari is the biggest mistake to befall this country. Jump out of your computer and die you still remain inconsequential.

@A Real Nigerian, You have no clue do you? Twenty comments per post spewing nonsense. In the last couple of days, your head has been buried deep in some ass. Therefore, l do not expect any intelligent response from you. If you had responded intelligently, l would have been surprised. Has terrorism stopped since Gump came to power? Has the exchange rate improved? How many unemployed youths have received their N5000 per month? Ok, they will get double next month. Have you been buying PMS at N40? How the Dullard will fulfil any of those silly promises is beyond any sane person. Anyways, the man is a retard living on past glory. The task at hand is beyond him which is why nothing is happening.

You Irrelevant Pretender who has an opinion on everything. Anyways, when you come up for air l shall be willing to school you some more.

Buhari is not known for his brilliance. All sane people know that Tinubu only used him to get close to power at the centre. 2019 is not too far, this man will probably sleep till then making excuses anytime he snaps out of his sleep. Buhari is too old. He is deceiving us by claiming meticulous. It is so glaring that this man has nothing to offer.

When Buhari realised that to be President of Nigerian no be beans, the Old man went back straight to bed. Excuses and more excuses As if he understands 2015 politics. We have been sold a dummy. This is how APC intends to give excuses till 2019. This is a curious type of change. Sleeping Change.

Steven, people like you are the problem. Buhari worshipper. Sheepish followers. This is not and should not be about PDP. APC/Buhari is in power. As citizens, we owe it to ourselves to hala when we see what is wrong so that the mistakes of the past 16 yrs will not repeat itself.

@mamza T, no one is saying anything to be called a worshipper. This is just 30 days and people are ready to draw blood. Cmon…..He said he inherited an office with little or no money, doesn’t he need time to think/plan on to generate income without plunging Nigeria deeper into depth. If u started a new job, does anyone expect u to perform outstandingly in ur first 30days on the job? I get the fact that he is moving slowly, but It’s 30daysss, he needs to first clean the mess up before he starts building something new…and besides if anyone should be complaining it’s us the citizens, not the party has did nothing for 16yrs………..

Appointed accountant general of the federation
Moved into Aso Rock… and best of all

There is a lot of poor level intelligence involved in this judgement. someone is walking into a damaged system, a system that has NO money in the treasury. A system that was unstable in the past 16 years…….with yearly damage of crazy proportions thanks to PDP. How dare they talk when they should be somewhere burying their heads in shame…30 days???? In comparison to almost a decade of damage??? Are u kidding me?…you see that we have been rescued from people who are rather unintelligent.

I knew people would expect saintly and godly expectations from PMB. I feel sorry for him because the bitter crowd will criticize his every move. Like republicans do to Obama. Bitterness is a very bad thing. I’m so angry at PDP. How dare they speak??. I can understand the masses expect to see change but many things happen behind the scenes..

Reverse, just because a rash has not disappeared does not mean the medicine being applied will not work. Everything takes time. I’m not a PMB worshipper but I am fair and realistic. I cannot allow childish bitterness make me poor in assessing things realistically.

God sees all. We are a really difficult group of people. In 4 years time we have the choice to vote him out anyway so everyone should relax. But expecting him to achieve anything significant in 30 days is just very unrealistic. Not with the mess on the ground.

Did anyone know that GEJs team hardly showed up at any of the transition meetings???….just FYI.

Chiefgiwasidechick…..by their name you shall know them…….anyone on the planet can criticize PMB it’s fine. Criticisms puts a leader on their toes BUT anyone who is PDP or a supporter of PDP needs to face the wall for the next 6 years with their mouths closed.

You have lost your right to any opinion on leadership for supporting failure and ruin of a country.

So you and all your PDP cronies please don’t disgrace yourselves here. Respect yourselves and have some integrity. After 6 years come back and talk. Nonsense.

pls we should give buhari 6 months. 6 months is enough time to get his shit together and start fulfilling the over the top promises he made during his campaigns.

after 6 months we can start blasting him. 30 days is too short to start criticising him.

What’s funnier is that nigerians are so ignorant to see that he’s trying to reduce the cost of governance. Flying a helicopter directly to Daura is far cheaper than taking a presidential jet to katsina first, then a convoy to Daura. Cost of building an helipard can never exceed 2million, that I’m sure of. Nigerians are so blinded by sentiments that they can’t even make constructive criticism. What you should be worried about is what would happen to the helipard when he leaves office.

This is the problem with too much expectations. Same thing is happening with PM Modi in India, only difference is Indians understanding that true reform neither immediately or quickly,

Be honest and ask yourself what good thing happens quickly???

Keep calm, have faith and more importantly rag on your Governors and Legislators. They get too much of a free pass.

I already told everyone around me complaining of cabinet formation and ministerial assignments to CHILL. The PDPigs made such a catastrophic mess that it will take meticulous decision making and planning to clean it up. Thats why we voted for the Buhari in the first place. Any “less man” can go there and appoint a bunch of thieves and rogues into key positions. And then set up committee after committee to find out if the thieves are really armed robbers or just petty thieves. Another committee will then be set up to decide what to do with the findings of the prior committees. In the meantime those so called “appointed” ministers are robbing the country blind. Beautiful nonsense. That’s the kind of mediocre leadership we’ve experience in the last 6 years.
I’ll rather have a president who takes his time to make major decisions that will affect my life and that of over 200 million citizens than one that makes hasty and clueless decisions.

    • BuharisSideChick

      June 29, 2015 at 9:48 am

The reason he cannot do anything is because his hands are tied. He entered into agreement with devils to gain power. The devils are now demanding payment. Keep waiting, we will be here and in two years, this man will still be giving excuses.
