WTF?! Since when did Davido become a dope boy?

      June 9, 2015 at 3:10 pm

lol. it was pounded yam flour…but it was supposed to be dope. U see how the drug lord got mad after he tasted it then david was shown eating the pounded yam. Atleast thats what it looked like to me.

What is all this keeeee. the lady preparing syrup and then cocaine on one side been sold and another lady in bikini shaking ass. what is the moral of this song????? The lyrics makes no sense to me, and by the way Meek Mill resembles someone from Mushin Olosha and Davido’s cousin (The light skin guy) always appearing in all davido’s music video. Is that what he does for a living? Appearing in all Davido’s music video. Is that his career?

      June 9, 2015 at 10:50 pm

@sugar yes that is his career he has refused to move foward.

or maybe a young wise individual who understands the difference between garbage and “pushing boundaries”.
      The end was funny though.

I swear I was about to gooo all the way in on Davido and then I saw the Fufu. He def got me square in my face. I had to re watch the video to enjoy it after knowing the end. I like the song too. Dbanj this how you “work” with international artist without selling your pride!

    • Keep Kwayet

      June 9, 2015 at 3:10 pm

Please rest abeg. What has D’banj got to do with this? If we are excusing passing off fufu as dope, are we also cool with the guns both the girls and guys are brandishing all through the video? Sir/Ms./ Prec, is that what it means to collaborate with international artistes “without selling your pride”?? Are guns our pride? Mshew……….please rest, OKAY?

    • Prec

      June 9, 2015 at 4:47 pm

Dbanj has got to do with what, I want Dbanj to do with. If you can’t comprehend comparing Dbanj on the basis of being an artist, an artist in the Nigerian Industry, an artist that thinks he pioneered effective collaboration with international artist (Kanye) and many more similarities, if you can’t comprehend how i’m justified in bringing him into this, that’s your problem. Don’t come and rack brains here for me. Culture – Fufu and Soup, Culture – still using Pidgin, Yoruba. Culture dancing Skelewu, the fact that they had guns which I agree is stupid does not take away from the fact it had culture, run along now angry tom.

And if you even want to get technical, what does guns have to do with selling pride? Did Meek invent guns, abi we don’t have guns in Nigeria? What does one have to with another? Mchew I too know.

Davido needs to stop trying to rap. His rap lyrics are wacked. Stick to your yoruba vibes. Nice video tho.

  13. polypoly

    June 9, 2015 at 2:58 pm

Oh Davido!!!! where do I start???

*sigh* This song and video don’t go together. Awon fans are not dopedealers and gang banging thugs tho. I mean, a feature from Meek Mills no be achievement hunty. if you thought this would break into the American radio/ video channels. sorry bruh, epic fail.
If you were smart, you would have capitalized on the Major Lazer Skelewu remix and made a video. that was a hit that needed a video and some festivals to ensure a billboard dance chart. They play that song at EDM festivals and people go wild. lotta them don’t know who sang it sef.

Dopeboy??? boy please!!! we know your family and they will give u serious igbati if u were really a dope dealer.
And all those ammunitions – nice way to hype ur lil self up, but we still don’t believe you. U be real aje buttah, so please stop it!!!

U are ouchea making yeye vids with a Felon named meek millz, while Wizkid is making music with legends like Femi Kuti and KSA. oya continue.

    June 9, 2015 at 3:19 pm

the people complaining: did you watch the video to the end?

lol, yummy pounded yam, could not decipher if that was efo riro or not
love the twist… I sha think the guns were not necessary considering it wasn’t really drugs he sold in the end?

  15. Strit Kredibility

    June 9, 2015 at 3:31 pm

Because music is a source of employment and the need to keep the youthful energy positively engaged is the reason i wouldn’t comment otherwise regarding this song. Let us leave it like that. Street will not go against street

The video sucks and the song sucks too!
And please don’t say I am hating. This is my personal opinion.
    Sesan, you are slipping bruh!!

  18. Your Father

    June 9, 2015 at 3:57 pm

regardless of the twist at the end with Fufu, we still get what you were tryna get at and this is still sending the wrong message out to the kids. And to top it off, the song sucks too. Smdh!!

Even though I did like the video, making us think it is cocaine when its really pounded yams, it doesn’t excuse the fact that this is a terrible song! Do better Davido!

  34. Harry

    June 9, 2015 at 11:32 pm

You guys dont get it.All the while what those girls were really making was yam flour and not cocaine…thats the concept and thats why at the end they brought him his food!

    June 9, 2015 at 11:45 pm

Nice beat, the audio would be really cool, would enjoy that tune banging on speakers.., but the video ummm.. imo, no need for guns and da coco but i ges thats new pop culture everyone is in love with “da coco” and gives reference to it (impliedly or actualy)
