Corrupt is what Sahara Reporters said about him.
Morally inept is what others said.

RIP OBA Okunade Sijuade Olubuse II

    Olofin Oduduwa
    Iku baba yeye
    Iku Alase Igbakeji Orisa
    Orissa gbogbo Oba Yoruba
    OBA Olori Alade
    Jignbinni bi Ate Akin
    Ekun Olori Aiye gbogbo
    Kabiyesi, Ebora Ile-Igbo!

I learnt this ‘oriki’ more than 2 decades ago!

As weird & strange as some of the words now seem when I can fully comprehend it, I am still in awe of the many myths surrounding the Yoruba Culture & Traditions!!!
Ile Ife is very important when discussing the origin of human race according to the Yoruba Myths as evidence of the site has been discovered to date back to roughly 500 AD!
History has it that each Oni is a direct decendant of the ‘Oduduwa’ and they have ruled ile ife for over 400 years! And there has been 24 Oni’s of Ife till date!
RIP once again to OBA Sijuade!
    My condolences to His Family!

The late Oba Sijuade is the 50th oni to be crowned while His ruling house ‘ogboru’ has produced the last 24 Oni’s of Ife!

Too bad that this reporter can not go by the tradition. Even if tho Ooni is gone, they should have waited forvthe king malers to announce it officially. Shame on you for insulting our Oba.

@Foluso, shame on you too in rapper Sakodie’s voice. Tell the truth!!! The royal announcers lied that the king was alive. Bella Naija and ThisDay, thanks for saying the truth although Bob Dee played to the gallery rather than write a satire of high repute because his headline was confusing because it did not tally with the content…
