The Lagos State Government appears to have removed the list of contracts awarded under the administration of former Governor Babatunde Fashola from the state’s Public Procurement Agency (PPA) website.

The removal comes shortly after the controversy surrounding the alleged N78.3 million rumoured to have been spent on Fashola’s personal website, and the public backlash that occurred after it was reported that N139 million was spent on the drilling of two boreholes at the Lagos House, Ikeja.

Punch reports that the section which lists all the contracts awarded under Fashola’s administration between 2013 and 2014 can no longer be accessed.

The publication also recalls that the PPA website was inaugurated by Fashola on July 15, 2013, and that the ex governor emphasized that the website is aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency, accountability and value for money in the area of public procurement.
