it’s getting worse….but her supporters will still hype

    • Halima Johnson

      December 22, 2015 at 2:56 am

      its rather unfortunate.
when fans get so blinded by ‘love’ that they can’t see the fault of the artist when its right on top of their nose.

  6. nwa nna

    December 22, 2015 at 1:33 am

Song is okay, but Don Jazzy is a damn fool! Doesn’t take himself serious at all 😀

  7. Anna

    December 22, 2015 at 1:40 am

Interesting. Tiwa’s makeup is usually on point, but its looking off in this video. I like her white costume sha.

    • Halima Johnson

      December 22, 2015 at 2:55 am

you are very right. it looks very amateur in this video.

  8. jojo

Just negodu what this Tiwa released. I think in her mind she believes she is beyonce. Wharrihell is this biko?

  10. Honeycrown

    December 22, 2015 at 2:26 am

The song was all over the place no harmony. Too much discord in between the tunes, choreography, visual etc. Maybe if I hear it another time sha without watching the video ……

    This is heart breaking
Tiwa Savage is a talented singer song writer and this is what she put out?
    Ugh what is this?
The song was all over the place
Video ugh like is this a joke?

  13. Ahhhhh

    December 22, 2015 at 2:49 am

She tried sha . e for Effort
I hate to compare but I just get wannabe Beyoncé vibes. This reminds me of the whole Flawless video with the beat switch up and dances. Are we sure this is not baba don j’s song . With the title of the song I was expecting sooooo much more. The first lyrics are so funny . Southern Mississippi ? Looooooooolll

just heard a whole bunch of Na So with auto tune.

Her sew in is so nice Tho is the scene with the ninja bun.

    That’s all I got !

  14. Halima Johnson

    December 22, 2015 at 2:54 am

I don’t have the words. What was the rush? Even the waist sef we no see for obvious reasons. And she looks tired. No, Tiwa, you can do better. There is no hurry abeg.

  17. Halima Johnson

    December 22, 2015 at 2:59 am

  18. Nini

    December 22, 2015 at 3:30 am

If we all liked what you liked then you wouldn’t have anything to call your own
We like tiwa savage but this song is trash.
She rushed to release new music this is horrible and disappointing.

    December 22, 2015 at 6:07 am

Even Tiwa herself believes that she cannot make a hit without Don jazzy on it.

I’d always give it to Don jazzy , I saw what he did with d’banj and wande coal . I can see what he’s doing with koredo Bello , reekado banks , dija , Dr. Sid , the prince and Tiwa savage.

Don jazzy’s got to be man anytime.

  21. Chi-e-z

    December 22, 2015 at 6:08 am

Hmm I was kinda confused with this song. It switched genres atleast 4 diff times. Well I usually know album themes usually play more into songs. Y’all should have taken footage of like Calabar festival and other African Festivals. This video would have really come alive in Calabar festival. SA is always a guaranteed good location anyways. Waiting for more esp. Key to the City

  22. Joke

    December 22, 2015 at 7:11 am

Jesu!!! Disappointed is an understatement…Confusion galore.

    December 22, 2015 at 8:26 am

the video concept get as e be. i expected “African waist” instead i saw the way my white neihbor tries to wine; stiff. Tiwa’s white calabar carnival bird costume doesn’t suit her body type she remeinds of that movie with halle berry and christucker where he wore the gold wig. lol, im sorry but this was a sad ting.

    December 22, 2015 at 8:40 am

Mba o. I no like am. Tiwa looks really pretty in the video though.

  27. thinkaboutit

    December 22, 2015 at 8:44 am

ok…I sense that they are aiming for an “international” audience. (Very ambitious). There seems to be a lot of effort on their part but I personally don’t like it. I hate to say this……but this is the reason why I like yemi alade because she is true to who she is and stays consistent.
On the other hand an artist should have the ability to evolve and rebrand themselves in order to have longevity. I just think they could have done it differently.

  28. BEE

    December 22, 2015 at 9:07 am

why are you people full of hate and always saying mean things. do you people think of what it will do to her when she reads all this. sometimes if you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything at all..

    • Tosin

      December 23, 2015 at 6:55 am

      I haven’t watched yet,
some of us feel personally affronted by bad music o. When the radio or TV hit us with the nonsense it’s like someone coming up and slapping me. Feedback is allowed. They too should consider us LOL.

  29. tilda

    December 22, 2015 at 9:08 am

If its all bout the waist, then the hell’s wrong with your waist Tiwa.

  31. whoever

    December 22, 2015 at 9:24 am

Nice one tiwa but we would have given you more time to produce and edit to make it more fabulous, Chris brown dropped almost 6 videos before his album dropped and they were all top notch! Nice one but we expected better

  32. hezekina pollutina

    December 22, 2015 at 9:56 am

this is an attempt at house music? don’t think it should be the first single.

  33. Ibinabo

    December 22, 2015 at 10:23 am

Tiwa, if I’m good with letters, I would have written one nice open letter to you.. pending when that happens, please, BE YOUSELF!

  34. Fiyin

    December 22, 2015 at 10:57 am

i first listened to the song without the video #no meaning
i secondly watched the video with the song #no direction

Okay oooo. I have said my own. Mavin be releasing songs every month like church bulletin. They need to get back to the drawing board and set standards for their brand. They are putting quantity ahead of quality.

  35. Lawan

    December 22, 2015 at 11:06 am

I love you Tiwa but please embrace your new size while you are working on your body
I understand how pregnancy changes the body so no one is bashing you cause of your new body
You will lose the extra baby weight and start wearing crop tops etc when your body is back
Till then i suggest you fire your current stylist and get a new one!
We love you but please avoid songs like this
You are of high calibre, how can you be writing songs for the likes of Monica and Chrisstte Michelle and releasing such a song like this for yourself?
Your craft is so much more than pangolo music pleaseeee we want our Tiwa from Once Upon A Time x

  36. somebody

    December 22, 2015 at 11:18 am

Dencia came to my mind. this is something she can do and would like. The video isn’t bad. i like it. Welcome back TITI

  37. Chadi

    December 22, 2015 at 11:21 am

Please all these people screaming haters, mean etc should stop. Abeg are we supposed to lie and say the video is what it is not? The video/ song is wrong. Obviously her waist is not ready for such a song. Simple!. It’s obvious she is still lactating, the only thing that saved the day is her pretty face.. Though am sure that will not stop them from trying t force it down our throats by flooding the radio/tv/internet with this song.

  38. Mrs Haastrup

    December 22, 2015 at 11:45 am

My only interest is where did she get the (colorful one) material?

    December 22, 2015 at 4:07 pm

I like that catsuit with the high bun. That’s my favourite look

    December 22, 2015 at 4:30 pm

I think the video and song is better than what anyone who’s made negative comments can come up with. Why are Nigerians full of criticism all the time, yet they cannot think to improve on what others have done? So if a woman is ‘lactatating’, her brain and imaginative juice should be dead? I even find the word offensive: she isn’t a cow!
I have never commented on social media but for once, I think it should be told that if you can’t improve on the silence, all you bitter, mean, cold and insensitive commentators should keep shut, period!
The video is different, nice to dance to and definitely shows imagination, which most people in Nigeria don’t have, maybe due to the heat or constant hustle mode. Not all songs will be shoki. That is what is called music: ART.

Good job Tiwa. You are definitely a hard working woman and a good example that women can do it all!

    • Kingkendall

      December 22, 2015 at 9:49 pm

Thank you o ion know what this haters want…. tiwa Don pass the level of amateur video a with nasty twerking and drinks and red cups she’s the queen suck that in

      You are MsJay

  61. Eliza

    December 22, 2015 at 8:07 pm

Lol this is trash. Now can you see why I said last week that nobody is demanding new music from Tiwa because of this nonsense. This whole album is going to scream “international market”. Do you really think this is what the “international market” is going to like? Please. No. Just stop it! The song doesn’t even make sense, neither does the video. But of course, the mavins will hype it up and say “baddest” “queen” “nobody does it like Tiwa”. Mstchew

What a country! So this is Naija`a best? And some folks reckon if one finds this irritating then one is a hater? Well, call me a hater but I`m embarrassed for her. WHAT????

    • Deee

      December 23, 2015 at 12:35 pm

Hi Godwin there are very good acts in Naij. Check out the The Collectiv3 LP by various artists as well as Ise Ise Mu Kan by NNB. Also Seyi Shay can run circles round Tiwa now. Tiwa has never really known how to dance energetically so this song surprised me when I bought the album. I do love Love Me Hard ft 2 face and Before Nko. Tiwa can write. She’s the queen in that aspect.

  67. Kingkendall

    December 22, 2015 at 9:43 pm

Thanks y’all for the bad comments cos your just earning her more views on YouTube even yemi alade earned 20k views in 5 weeks for Johnny and tiwa has earned 25k views in 21hr are y’all not ashamed abeg African waist

    • anna

      December 23, 2015 at 1:15 am

and this is why this mentality will continue to appear petty- carry on measuring quality by Views & Likes….if they were to repost one of her old hits life love x3, and it didn’t get 25k in 21hrs will that still make this african waist ariwo better….?

    • Eliza

      December 23, 2015 at 8:08 am

Thank you Anna. Pls help me ask him. Stupid boy, with his stupid comment

    December 22, 2015 at 11:01 pm

Oh boi eh! See bashing! But unu no dey tire for all the kpakpangolo songs when saturate market? Tiwa took the courage to create a different sound with Don Jazzy and most of you who can’t sing or hold a note to save your lives are on here beefing? Abeg she try…if you no like, soak garri with kponmo….

If you say you don’t like this song, y’all are a bunch of ignorant humans who have no understanding of good beats. The switching all through is perfect. y’all are just difficult to please. First you complain about them singing a particular way, then they change and you complain. Oya ooo come and and sing!! Let’s see the talent that you have. Damn Tiwa! Biko you are awesome. Don J is still the illest! Oya come and fight me

We all dont have same taste of music, Tiwa can never go of track and she is representing her voice. Who doesnt use autotune? how would a record sound without proper editing and manipulation? You are a great act TIWASAVAGE. You remain africa finest female artiste

  88. Rooster

    January 2, 2016 at 4:55 pm

This is not the comeback I expected. I’m not sure what they think this is. Are they trying to appeal to another market outside of Africa? I don’t understand who is supposed to relate to this. Tiwa starts off by singing about being in Mississippi, then she goes all over the place.
Tiwa Savage lyrics are all over the place.
The video is also just all over the place. And am I correct in my belief that the Nigerian flag doesn’t even appear in the scenes where the other nation’s flags make appearances? What’s up with that?
