Davido & Sophia Momodu’s Families Reportedly Sign Peace Agreement over Child Trafficking Allegation

According to The Sun, the families of David “Davido” Adeleke and Sophia Momodu have decided to settle things amicably and keep further details of their domestic dispute out of the media by signing a peace agreement.

Things started to spiral out of control when child trafficking allegations were made against Davido’s family by the Momodu’s (click here) and the National Agency For the Prohibition of Trafficking In Person (NAPTIP) had to get involved.

Things were settled in a meeting attended by Sophia, Davido’s father – Deji Adeleke, Mr. and Mrs. Dele Momodu, the Adeleke’s lawyer, counsel to Dele Momodu, Gbolaga Ajayi, Mr. Ajayi Famakinwa, and NAPTIP’s representatives.

According to reports, at the meeting, it was decided that the issue be resolved amicably and that both families should stop the ongoing media war.Consequently, both sides were made to sign an agreement to stop the media face-off.

NAPTIP’s representatives, who took Sophia and Dele Momodu and his wife’s statements, advised the Adelekes to allow the child’s mother have access to her child, currently in custody of Davido’s half-sister, Ashley Adeleke.

The fact that the government official was there and they agreed that mother should only have access while the baby remains with Davido’s family and be cared for by his sister show that the allegations that she’s unfit have some merit. The sister she was calling evil is still the one that will help her take care of her child and one can see that clearly she’s been doing a good job. All the voltrons supporting the baby mama just because she’s a woman and accusing Davido of lying are no where to be found now ! The sister that was called all names is still the woman even the government officials admit is in the best position to care for the baby, this says it all

I guess Davido took my advice…

Davido, give the baby back to her mum. Reach an agreement with lawyers present, carefully analyzing every penny that would be needed. She must sign to keep the baby under good and thorough care else Imade would be taken off her custody. Then move on with your life and keep making music and doing what you love. This situation isn’t a new thing, it would be overcome with both parties happy

David fell into her trap. Older woman looking for a pay day with a spoilt rich boy so shameful to watch with an innocent child in between. Ugly all around. Dele momodu attention seeker and social climber.

I read “Peace Agreement” and got an immediate vision of Heads of State standing on opposite sides of a table taking turns in signing an international treaty while flashing bulbs go off as the press captures the moment.

This may have also happened here, as the process sounds like something requiring UN intervention…

Did you notice how the government representative (NAPTIP) in attendance of the meeting did not recommend “giving”, “returning’ the child back to her mother but rather to let her have access? That says a lot to me. She is clearly an unfit mother. I am a mother and I do not believe the stupid mentality that a child should remain with her mother even if unfit. The child deserves to be with the person with her best interest.

TO be honest I don’t think Sophia should keep the child she’s got no capacity or means to take good care of her daughter she actually thought the baby would be her meal ticket through the Adelekes even naptip thinks so too by not giving full custody to Sophia……. wiz kid and co all have baby mamas so y all the media noise!!!!!!!!!!

Why wasn’t davio present? It seems to me that the one who really cares about that child is Daviodo’s dad.

Totally agree with you here but they definitely went about it the wrong way. Go to court and seek custody of the child….and not steal the child.

BN is the messenger that has brought us the news, the words used and statements made cannot be confirmed because BN was not present at the event. BN writer wrote – the mother will be allowed access. The word access to a biological mother is worrisome, plus its conveys the mother is not willing to fight for custody yet?

As a passerby, let me return to sipping oolong tea .

FINALLY, we can REST. They can rest, Social media can REST too. It’s about damm time for everyone to be grown. I still insist if Sophia ain’t capable of raising Imade, they child shouldn’t be giving to her PERIOD. She needs to be responsible & also, get a dannM JOB while she’s at it too.

This is a Pyrrhic victory. She has ended up exactly were she was before all the brouhaha except that now clearer lines have been drawn. My husband has predicted exactly how this was going to play out and it happened to the letter. Now I will lay out the rest of the tea leaves .

Oh, he also said David will not be at the meeting. You had a 60 something year old man fightg a 23 year old while his father was alive
    Best case scenario
ATM access has been caught off
Access to Imade remains the same.
The mothers drug problem remains which is going to lead to less access being given (hopefully, her ‘father/uncle/cousin’ is smart enough to send her to rehab and get some education and a job)
Parental contribution will be ’50/50′ with said parent being solely responsible when the child is in their custody. He father will still take care of her medical bills etc.
She Sophia will have to have to move out of the house and find her own place (for the safety off David). I hope she has been saving.
The allowance will be cut off because it is not required by law and now you have angered your benefactor….. The situation will be treated as a business transaction now
The Adeleke’s will go to Auchi or send somebody to straighten out the traditional rite for claiming their child formally (traditionally)
They will go to court and formalize custody probably through arbitration.
Sophie being an addict is going to blow it soon and will only be allowed supervised visits
She will not be allowed into the Adeleke compound (not safe because she is even more embittered and might get stupid. or do something stupid
A neutral ground will be selected as a drop off point to pick up and drop off the child
Loads more but I shall rest my case here.

I hope Sophie has been saving because this means no more unnecessary handouts from David again. Enough of all this social media exposure. Its never too late for her to set her life on track and be who she was meant to be. The Adeleke’s taking cutody of the child at the end of the day says a lot . If she can’t clean up for herself, she should do it for her beautiful baby.
