Don jazzy is an agbaya. Yove been in the game longer take your award and go. But no you were a little bitch and called out a twenty year old name.

Anyways the headies is full of pure shit. That’s why nobody came. They take bribery. Wizkid is at home davido In gambia.

We all know who gave the headies the biggest funding.

They said its based off of votes but its not we know.

    Lil kesh should have won.
The nerve of dija yelling there like she makes hits.

Its a new year oh. Let’s not start something we can’t finish.

Meanwhile ybnl take your anger and go in the studio and make me a hit.

Thank you! @LoL , Don Jazzy has always been a fraud and an imature prick! D’banj and Wande couldn’t all be wrong about that pompous old fool.
I don’t even care for the music they put out, but Lil Kesh did well for his starter career in 2015, even Mtv base had him in their top 10 hottest naija artistes, the headies is a big joke. Don jazzy knew that reekado didn’t deserve the award hence the reason he was pained.
P.S Reekado looks like a butch lesbian with that face.
      Happy New Year BN fam.

      January 2, 2016 at 6:01 am

Whizkid was there in attendance actually, and Don Jazzy as the head of Mavins basically wanted to support and back up his own artist that won. Because Olamide basically suggested that the person who the award, Reakado Banks, was undeserving. So he actually did what he had to do, and back up his artist! Olamide was very immature, and may had been under the influence of alcohol or a substance.

Tiwa savage go dey rejoice say negative attention /yawa no dey for her head since the sack of rice picture dram. She had elieved Toke and maje baby mama drama. Toke too go dey thank God that attention is off her now.
Davido/Sophie Momodu took over from Tiwa savage, and they will be happy to be off social bad attention and all the baby mama drama full social media.
Who will be next to relieve olamide/don jazzy of their current negative drama? God knows.

    • Truth

      January 2, 2016 at 11:18 am

Look, I am not a fan of either of them. But if we are to speak the truth, Lil Kesh deserved to win.
That said, Olamide is a child and he is acting his age. He is extremely immature and is proving why people like Don Jazzy will always win at life. Why? Because empty barrels make the most noise. In this life, it is slow and steady that wins the race.
It is not the vigorous screaming people in life who come out on top, but rather the calm and silent yet deadly and Machiavellian ones, the Don Jazzys of this world.
Is Don Jazzy as chill and laidback as he portrays? I don’t think so. For the simple reason that if he were, people would’ve taken advantage of him and he wouldn’t have gotten as far as he has. I think he is nice but not as nice as he appears. Bottom line, I see Don Jazzy to be wise beyond his years and intelligent and Olamide could honestly learn a thing or two from him
Olamide, your artist was robbed. We know. But instead of ranting and raving like a two year old who was denied a piece of candy, how about you man up, grow up, get into the studio and prove yourself? Talent will always prove itself so shut up and let the music speak for itself. That is why even though Beck won the Grammy, it is Beyonce whose music dominates. Because you can be cheated out of awards but talent will never fail you. Or better still, seeing as the Headies are so important to you, you can also pay them so that next year your artists will win as well. BUT for God’s sake, stop being an idiot and move on because honestly, Don Jazzy is winning

The heads of brand at Etisalat and Guinness need to call their brand ambassador to order. Nothing justified his use of F**k and S**t on the and curses on the Headies stage in the first place. And this is totally uncalled for. I had a lot of respect for Olamide up until now and I really hope Don Jazzy keeps mute on this.

Olamide is razz, hell that’s why he’s famous.
We like his razness it appeals to the alter ego we want to show but we can’t.

Both companies knew what they were doing when they signed him. So they can take several seats.

Stupid childish behaviour on both ends
Olamide shouldn’t have ranted like a sore loser on stage. Award is based on votes and the mavins obviously have a larger following. Red cup on stage, using swear words, total lack of respect for anybody…thuggish loutish behaviour won’t get you too far.
Don jazzy’s fake humility is clear for everyone to see. Saying they should have given the award to Dbanj like Dbanj is some dog to be fed bones. Then calling out Olamide who never mentioned your name to come collect the car. Lil Kesh drives a flipping range rover. Your “children” are still catching cab.
Olamide like the illiterate thug he is went on an alcohol fueled rant on twitter. Who will write the mavins Diss track though ? Perhaps they should hire vic o lol.
Loving Wande Cole’s tweet though: LOL just passing by
I bet Davido is just glad people now have something else to talk about.

    • vinbin

Could you pls stop all these car shit! I just dont know why riff rats are given so much endorsement money, knowing fully well that money intoxicates. These boys sing thrash and sniff coke. Very poor role models for young ones. Bottom line is olamide went over board. He even said it won’t be better for anybodi’s mama. That’s indirectly taunting Don J and insulting evry and anybodi.. Someone had to stand up to him and humble his ludicrous and childish rant. Don J is human, he cant kp acting mute: he has been in the spot light for quite some time now. Olamide spoke garbabe, so shd take garbage. Garbage in garbage out! He shd kp his street to himslef and stop influencing growingup kids with disgraceful stage and media outbursts.

Olamide’s supporters didn’t watch the show so they are supporting blindly .

I knew the headies was headed for doom right from the onset I watched begining to end.

Olamide we know your boy deserved it and even RB made it know that lil Kesh was a contender so for you to come and and now be dropping mic and putting middle finger in the air nigga who do you think you are GTFOH. You made Don jazzy reply to you the way he did because your comment and behaviour made it seem like it was about the car. Even telling your own ADE kunle gold say na lil Kesh get award Wey him win . You don’t do that ,you dont do that fair enough you didn’t mention names but you made it look like you were Jabbing at RB same way you tried to protect lil Kesh Kesh same way he Don Jazzy had to protect his own. Stop all your street bullshit and grow up your a father too.

Its not about pride. I like both of them, but I must say Olamide went too far with his insults. Don Jazzy obviously called out names, Olamide did something similar last year. The whole Olamide rant showed that he had something against Don Jazzy, Don jazzy to saying what he said was rude. So lets say they both have things against themselves or do we blame the heat of the moment? They need to squash this.

Secondly this is not the first time there has been an upset. When Phyno lost out he and his label were respectful in defeat. But not ybnl they have to throw cups, hats and mics and walk of stage.

Lastly you represent a brand. How can you start insulting a man on Twitter with the f-word who you can easily pick up the phone and call. And we Nigerians are praising this rubbish

    • o

      January 2, 2016 at 8:40 am

Thanks Ofili…you have said it all. I don’t understand ppl saying Olamide didn’t call any names. Who else was he referring to if not the person that won the awards? If you feel cheated, there are better ways to make your grievances know. He wan come spoil their mic n floor?? Na wa. All these juveniles sef, o ga!!

    • lorlah

      January 3, 2016 at 12:03 am

But seriously dere is a reason olamide is calld just olamide and don jazzy is calld don jazzy.when dey call u a don u have to act like one he shdnt have even said anytin about it on stage at all,and if u ask me i will say olamide was directing what ever stupid stuff e said to headies organisers, just like kanye west was directing his stuff to grammys organisers and not tailor swift.

    • Bae

      January 2, 2016 at 8:45 am

It’s not really about the praise. Olamide actions were clearly wrong but you would have expected don jazzy to react better. Like you’re a pioneer in the industry. You shouldn’t be beefing with children.

    • nonye

      January 2, 2016 at 11:37 am

Major applause for Ofili’s comment. While it would have been more graceful for DonJazzy to ignore Olamide’s comments; that whole “I didn’t call your name” argument is not defensible. Everybody knows who Olamide was referring to. If his quarrel really was with the Headies organizers he would have addressed them directly on the stage. The fact that he “left out names” suggests that he was indirectly referring to the winner. If he had even stopped at saying Lil Kesh was their own next rated star (without the added cursing) the matter would have ended there. All the nominees worked hard. Reekado’s acceptance speech definitely didn’t assist the matter either. Typically most award winners acknowledge their competition so Reekado needs some lessons in etiquette and about being a magnanimous winner. Anyway they are all men, I’m sure they can work things out.

    January 2, 2016 at 7:27 am

talk am say Yoruba people can curse sha!
Abeg, make una give me the car if none of una want the the car – me I need am.
Olamide even for almighty America, all these drama dey happen but they handle it like pros and not touts! Chai! You fall my hand. Like in the case of Kanye West and Taylor Swift, you for just let us fight for you. We know the truth but you just spoilt ya war with all these touting.
Anyway sha, na the entertainment industry – what is it without some drama?
Don Jazzy, you sef come tout small. You for handle the matter like Taylor Swift na? After you dash 50k na im you sef go fall my hand?
Meanwhile, in the entertainment industry, although talent is good, sometimes you need more than talent to blow – you need better packaging which come with proper PR and money e.g Reekado and Miles Cyrus

    • Chi

      January 2, 2016 at 7:45 am

Meanwhile, isn’t this next rated category voting only? Why didn’t Olamide do enough PR make to make Lil Kesh win? He spent all that time doing OLIC whereas Don Jazzy the branding Master while sharing 50k, was smartly making people vote for Reekado.
I told you earlier it’s not about talent usually in the entertainment industry, it’s about branding- PR and cash.

    • Chi

      January 2, 2016 at 8:00 am

And whose mother was Olamide insulting when he said “ko ni dafu iya anybody”? Who’s iya? DonJazzy’s? The Headies? The Voters? The viewers? His fans? He needs to come out and apologise. You insulted everyone’s mother tout!

Wow! Should this be the way to begin 2016? with unnecessary BEEF? One thing that i have observed in the Nigerian Music Industry at least with this issue is that artists lack GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP! After much deliberation Reekado won the award I don’t think Olamide needed to come on stage and talk about how he felt that Lil Kesh deserved it and to YBNL he is their next rated. Really? He should have just accepted the award YBNL received with Adekunle Gold and enjoyed the show like the rest of the celebrities. You don’t expect to make that kind of comment and not expect Don Jazzy to reply because i know Olamide will do the same and we all know that. His comment on stage is something that should have been said after the show was completely over during maybe a recap conversation with the YBNL team. Be happy for another artiste and support him so that others will do same for your artiste and you. He claims not to have mentioned Don Jazzy’s name? Really? Then why does it bother him so much. You knew what you implied indirectly. Don jazzy replied you directly! Please Nigerian musicians should try and imbibe the culture of good sportsmanship which is the best attitude when it comes to awards and recognitions .

Anybody that will come here to insult Don J should properly examine their brains? Reekado Banks won,a Mavin crew, and silly Olamide had the audacity with dirty crew and started raining insults on stage on who now? He did not call name abi? Don J served him hot slap! Trust Nigerians, especially yorubas! They will see white and say it looks like cream! Who is Olamide to be ranting nonsense on TV and Twitter! Even the Reekado is yoruba, but looks very polished! If Etisalat and Guinness knows what is good for their brand, they had better drop Olamide as he is not proper role model to the youths! He is a just a tout!

      January 2, 2016 at 12:39 pm

      He’s yoruba ‘but’ looks polished?

And almost 40 people liked your comment?

How did this become a tribal thing?

Once I started seeing ‘he’s only popular in the SW’, i knew that y’alls beggars were slowly morphing into thieves. I kept scrolling down knowing someone would soon come out with all boldness to call tribes out. The same tactics that your Don Jazzy lacked that dumped him in the gutters with Olamide.

I genuinely feel that if BN starts to censor all tribalistic comments, people will start to rethink their stands….well, that’s if the person approving comments doesn’t share the same sentiments.

Nobody has time for this in the new year o….challenge your brain and think critically, any goat can make sweeping generalizations.

    • Chi

      January 2, 2016 at 1:56 pm

Slo-lo….your Don Jazzy: the Don Jazzy you’re supporting.
I didn’t claim not to be tribalistic, so BN should feel free to sensor my comments, but if the ‘your Don jazzy’ part of my text is what you found to cling on to, then you failed woefully….try again ehn. Next time you want to come for me, come correct and don’t halfass it.

Oh! And let’s just pretend I can’t read Yoruba, you definitely don’t want to go down that road with me…trust me on this one.

Involving D’banj that is trying to get back to Jazzy to revive his career. And someone. Is busy saying he didn’t mention name? Really? The moment you point out that someone else deserves to win an award which was not given to him, you are saying the winner does not deserve it.

How can you fight for someone by putting someone else down. How can you fight for someone by saying someone else is undeserving of an award. There is nothing honourable in making a winner look like a loser.

We all have different taste in music. I prefer R B to LK and someone else may prefer LK to R B. All the people in that category are winners. At the end of the day there can only be one winner and others must accept defeat with dignity.

There is nothing cool about throwing vulgar words words around in an award. It shows that you have no regard for anyone in the audience and also no regard for yourself. Although I wished Don J did not join issues with Olamide, but the moment Olamide pointed that LK deserves to win he indirectly pointed out that ) does not deserve to win and that makes it Don J business.

The twitter rant is uncalled for. It only shows that he had beef before now for Don J or he is simply high on something.

Wow. The comments here are something. Lol. Anyway here are my few points:
    1. Reekado did not deserve that award. It belongs to Lil Kesh.
    2. Olamide should grow up and realize the industry isn’t fair. There’s a lot of politics in it. He should know that by now.
    3. Olamide should spend more time and money on PR. PR is the life-blood of any personality/group in the entertainment sector.
    4. Don Jazzy should have just acted like a grown up and kept quiet. He’s having too much beef with his fellow artistes lately and that does not say good about him. Plus, we all know he is pretending to be humble. NO celebrity can be humble for long. The Boss attitude comes with the crown.
    5. I believe the Headies should be boycotted next year because I have seen too many trashy nominations and winnings from them in the last couple of years. The Headies organizers are biased,
    6. Please I can’t understand why Phyno was not nominated for anything! Why? Isn’t he better than a lot of artistes that were nominated at the Headies? Or is it becoming a tribal thing? Just asking.

My advice to Don Jazzy would be to chillax this 2016 and avoid beef with anyone else. His track record isn’t looking good. Dija should shut up and try to make a single that would be a hit with her long neck and tiny boobs.
And Olamide, this ya hood attitude is cool and all but you need finesse honestly. It’s not all about cussing and swearing and doing that ghetto thing. You gotta learn to throw shade like a gentleman. Next time you lose out on anything, just swallow the insult, go the studio and rap a reply.

My dear! Chop knuckle biko, Nigerians are very hypocritical, how can they say Olamide didn’t call names, when you openly said someone’s artist didn’t deserve an award? The tout boy got what he deserved from Don Jazzy, I couldn’t read his tweets but from the length and the gibberish effect I got he is wailing. I don’t care for Mavin crew because their talent is packaging, but that’s business everywhere for you, when you package well people will perceive you better, instead of Olamide to go and learn biz and package for.his crew so that their little talent will be a plus, he is busy ranting and crying, that’s why they don’t last, with his wacky and obscene lyrics, he thinks he is king abi? Olamide wasn’t thinking straight. ‘Ko ni da fun Iya anybody’, was a negative statement what did he expect a positive response. Now he’s sore, ranting on twitter. Then I don’t understand why people see someone pretending to be humble as a bad thing. Humility is not a state, it is a process, we have to constantly make an effort to be humble. If you are proud by nature then you have to constantly ‘pretend’ to be humble until it becomes second nature.

    Deez serious.
I just want to say Don Jazzy is talented, makes a lot of shit music, and I would love to slap him for a lot of the nonsense farts that he and his hit-making people release into the hatmosphere. His talents – drumming and such and also exchanging shit noise for money. His singing is the stupidest most annoying thing. And I generally hate their vibe, the ethos of the group, I feel like they’re grabbers and takers and not givers – they want to take fame and money and not give us good sound… I hate that. I rebel against that. And their primitive money mindedness. Sometimes something good comes out of all that, but I’m sha not a fan and I avoid their stuff.

Olamide went off, wooot. He spoke for me looool.

The arrogance of making shitty music and not honing their craft is what killed Dbanj. When we all said ‘guy, do better’, Don Jazzy helped him produce an even shittier song ‘I’m an entertainer’, basically telling us to go kick rocks. He should have listened and learnt how to sing and make good music. The only reason Tuface did well after leaving Kennis is because he has real talent…he didn’t need any crutch.
I sincerely dislike the entire Mavin/Mohits sound, yeah, a couple of their songs get a pass but they’re mostly a no-no.

They’re behaving this way because they’re on drugs… and i used to roll my eyes at my parents behind their backs…. as far as I was concerned they didnt know what they were talking about…
today, i feel like my parents… i am seeing all of these musicians and the way they are behaving publicly and all I see is the effect of drugs and abuse of alcohol….

Have you seen Terry G live? Amazing.
It still boils down to the same thing: a person either has money or pretends to have money, and, like porn, it just turns people’s heads and makes them bow before you. That is the game Beyonce played with no voice no music, the game this boy is trying to play nicknaming himself a Don and acting fat. Basically empty packages as far as I’m concerned. I don’t like scams, abeg.

Terry G over Don Jazzy twenty times over. Irrespective of followers, views, recharge cards or whatever. I come to musicians for music. @ Robin Hood

Olamide is big in the whole Nigeria and all over Africa. He’s one of the main top popular artists in Nigeria right now. His song, “shakiti bobo” is overplaying in every nigerian party. However, his cursing, response was irresponsible. I hope there’s consequence for his action. Don jazzy, on the other hand needs to respect himself.

If I didn’t stay awake to watch this award ceremony I would probably be criticising Jazzy for mentioning name. But there are limits to things you suck up in humility, lest you’d be taken as an impotent mute who can’t even defend his own. If Jazzy can’t defend R B and his crew in public then why bother staying with such a label Head. Even as weak as the mother hen is to predators, it still protect its own. Let alone someone in the industry like Jazzy.
There so many other awards that should have gone to other nominees from my view point, even way more debatable than this Kesh and R B. Its an award that people presumably voted to for crying out loud, so it can go any way whether rigged or not. Suck it up then go to the studio and allow things smoothen out itself.
If actually you were cheated, the entertainment and showbiz industry is the one industry that has its way of sorting itself out. Not to come up on stage and start ranting with disregard, claiming you did not mention names then expect others to turn the other cheek when the obvious is staring at their face. Which everyone with half a brain obviously know if they are objective and drop all sentiments.
Personally, I would vote R B ahead of kesh any day and time if to judge with both their work, personality and meaningful lyrics so far..
Using vulgar words and making clubs light up with juvenile delinquency is not what I would want to give preference of next rated artist to. Like I said, that’s my view point and opinion.
The 2face , Psquare and even wizzy started well with wonderful lyrics and that’s why they remain on a pedestal. That peeps, is how I rate that award. Not club and all these most times, unnecessary street altercations.

(This is why I don’t listen to Nigerian music.)

They are both very wrong. OLAMIDE, no! No! Hell no! You don’t rant on the social media. It doesn’t say good about you and your crew… Lil Kesh deserved the award but such is life. We win some and lose some… I’d see that as a motivation tho.

Don Jazzy’s statement was very condescending both to his crew and to Olamide. This was my first reaction to what he said, “Wetin u dey feel like? U be god?”

Don Jazzy should apologise to his crew and to Olamide, and then to me (Because I ddnt expect that from him) ???? Which one be children again? Even Tiwa mama? Na wa oh.

They should sort themselves out. PEACE! ???

Even as their fight doesn’t add an value to my life, I have never been a fan of Olamide..he is so mannerless. LK and RB case is like 2 children trying to gain admission in2 a school. RB gets the admission and LK’s mother says f- the sch authority and iyalaya anybody..nt like RB’s mother didn’t guide her child to suceed. So you expect RB’s mother to sit and fold her arms while LK’s mother rants rubbish…Nigerians sha..let’s be reasonable and defend whats ryt. I loved jazzy’s reply…in 1 wrd…#gbam..very deserving response. Even My mom is so disgusted abt olamide’s rant and comment…firing catapult of envy..omo iranu

      January 3, 2016 at 8:50 am

I love your comment because I used a similar analogy. Olamide not mentioning Don Jazzy’s name is irrelevant because with his comments, he insulted the organizers, the voters , the nominees as well as Don JAZZY.
If the basis of his reaction is being LK’s brother, then Don has the right to respond and protect his child’s interest too.
By the way, I agree Lil Kesh should have won but Olumide’s rant was WRONG!!!
Lil Kesh remains a star and I pray he wins a bigger award soon.

I’m a singer nd I want to work with Don Jazzy, he z a true leader nd yes, dey re his children, I don’t see dem complaining, olamide tell me who loves u more, ur father or brother? Olamide z a big disappointment, there I was thinking he’d follow in Don baba’s footsteps, hmmmm, it’s a pity. And Don jazzy is not claiming God he can buy the cars. Olamide nd friends, tele u bin dey throne but now 1st of all go get sense.

    January 3, 2016 at 6:03 am

It’s a pity these guys are still acting very childishly, to start with… they’ve all acquired what’s more than that fake award and the cheap Hyundai car.

Olamide lacks maturity, saying that you, kesh, and the whole immature ybnl crew deserved awards more than MAVINS crew is bullshit…
It’s obvious Don jassy deserved the award he got… No album but hits… You don’t expect your puppet to do better with his lewd immature and unbridled tongue…
You said Don jassy fakes humility, you too should try and fake maturity…

Believe me I am really shocked at the comments I read. Lil Kesh made danceable noise. Kiss Daniels, korede and reekado made good music. I think d battle should be between kiss Daniels and reekado headies is a music award and songs that meet the basics of music should be considered only. as for the Don u are to big for that joke. Olamide’s reaction is expected after all he is Street.

OMG. I think Olamide should go back to school so he can learn how to read and write plus learn how to respect, his twitter write up is really horrible. He just disgraced himself, his fans, his family and his entire Village with his rude raze and arrogant attitude at the Headies. It’s a shame and a petty Olamide don’t have respect for himself so don’t expect him to respect anybody not even his fans because you can’t give what you don’t have. Nobody knows Olamide and Lil kesh in Port Harcourt and other part of South South and South East so I didn’t understand why he put up such shameful act at the Headies Award Night. Next time Olamide and his Crew should get/ask more people to vote for them, it’s only a poor man with no good money in his bank account that will behave the way Olamide did that night on stage. Biko how much is the car Headies gave to Reecado Banks that Olamide wants to kill himself on? I think Olamide should shame Headies by buying a bigger and better car for Lil kesh. I use to be a fan of Olamide until that night, seriously I was disappointed by his attitude on stage that night

Don Jazzy may God continue to keep you and your guys. you guys will continue to go higher. you have really tell the world you are mature.
Olamide. i am from the street too. i know what it means to be in the street but your reaction was totally childish. i never expected you to go this far in insulting this man even after the event. come on a real street nigga wouldn’t support you on this. we supposed to let the world know that street can still produced important and influential youth in the society. please you need to big up.

We are Nigerians and we can never stop being that even if we r abroad, just like I am. I love Don and Olamide but of a truth we r all taking sides if not why blaming only Olamide of being childish and not Don, if Don have kept quiet (not replying Olamide) playing maturity as u all said he z, Olamide will know he z not making sense himself, and if we should say Don is trying to stand up for his own, Olamide is also doing d same thing. Actually, their is one thing I will always say and tell pple, if u that r criticizing really r sure of urslf, put urslf in their shoes (first in Don’s shoes and then in Olamide’s shoes), if u were to be the one leading as they r what would have being ur respond or how would u hv acted.
