Toke, not everyone is a prostitute, not everyone can afford to change their weave every second, not everyone has the same sources of income as you, not everyone’s hair smells after 3 weeks, not everyone can afford the Bond perfume. I can’t believe the things I just heard. I feel like I just saw the part of you that others seem to have seen ages ago. You sound just like a “you can’t sit with us girls”, like an arrogant snob. I guess you’ve chosen popularity over substance.

You are looking for Substance with Toke Makinwa ……………. You are in for a long thing then . She has none at all

I would suggest you rewatch it. You allow your hatred for her cloud your judgement. I don’t blame you by the way your type is all over this country. Hating for no reason Rubbish

    • Oh please

      February 25, 2016 at 2:45 pm

Well you my dear have missed the point of this video. She didn’t say go and specifically buy bond perfume, she didn’t say you must change your hair every three weeks. I’m sure you must have been around people with stank weave on their heads. She is just saying don’t let it get to that point. And really? Only prostitutes can afford to get their hair done so frequently? By your logic, anyone who changes their hair frequently must be a prostitute so does this mean mothers and wives who frequently switch up their hairstyles are prostitututes? And the you can’t sit with us comment, Please your inferiority complex is quite obvious.

      February 25, 2016 at 3:35 pm

Where in her message did you get this prostitute idea from? How can you not wash your hair and scalp for 3 good weeks? You must be very dirty and lazy. Ever heard of hard work? Do you understand that a person can actually work hard to afford the good things of life? No?

    • Surely

      February 27, 2016 at 10:20 am

This babe is just a walking contradiction. Says we should stop waiting for men to buy us perfume but says we should buy perfume for men… Why can’t we just do things for ourselves? Do we exist to please men? I’m tired abeg…

I agree with you 1 hundred
I don’t think Toke has EVER gotten it wrong as far as her style sense goes (in my opinion)
If she considered replacing that her relationship blog with fashion tips, makeup tips etc then i would watch her religiously, take her seriously & perhaps consider being her fan…lol
Toke is super stylish and that u cant take away from her whether u are a hater or a fan

Like, not sure why ppl hate this chick…Toke I love you, and this is real advice you are giving. If una no wan watch, read: PERSONAL HYGIENE IS IMPORTANT! IT IS NOT OKAY TO WEAR WEAVE FOR 3 WEEKS STRAIGHT!! not okay…gross, nasty, don’t care how much you paid for it. Perfume is important. Wear deodorant. Shower. You must always smell fresh! If Nigerians understood this, the airports would not be smelling like armpit and stockfish…..also, #teamnomakeup, please kick rocks, because most of y’all need makeup! Ok I am done, for now.

I like her too. If you don’t like Toke, by all means keep it moving anytime you see her name. The hatrade on this blog for this girl is gaju. I think it is envy really. As in hate what you cannot be. By that l mean fun, free spirited, l no send attitude. I know it is not possible for everyone to like her but, to gleefully knock her all the time even when the topic of discuss makes sense is senseless.
OK, how many of ya’ll visited uncle google to check out that parfum? I know you did. I did.

      My first comment vamoosed.

If you wash your weave while its on your head regularly, there nothing wrong with keeping it for three week.

    • Lucinda

      February 25, 2016 at 9:26 am

Eww. That’s like having a shower with clothes on. It’s not the hair strand you should be worried about, it’s your scalp, roots and follicles.

Pls what colour of blusher has she got on?? I’m loving the nude but pronounced effect. What shade would a darker skin use?

    February 24, 2016 at 11:46 pm

Lol @ the airport smelling like and stockfish. That smell just hit you as soon as you enter the dark halls of the airport. The smell is a societal problem. There needs to be some sort of a public health initiative to get people into action. This will also mean changing ways people do things traditionally. For example, when tissue is not available, some people use water to wash themselves after doing #2. They will then rinse their hands with water alone thinking their hands are clean

    February 25, 2016 at 12:45 am

    £136 for parfum!!! Rich girl!

    • Shalsl

There are different fragrances and different prices, eg the bond no 9 Eau De NY is about $145, the one with toke is about 195USD. But then these perfumes last long So you value for your money

  10. good

    February 25, 2016 at 4:02 am

Toke doesn’t sound intelligent at all, sweetie just do a fashion inspiration thingy and leave all this your unintelligent talk!

    • Oh please

      February 25, 2016 at 2:51 pm

And you’re the intelligent one saying “thingy”?

  12. Bella

    February 25, 2016 at 9:33 am

For you’ll info, there are various Bond perfumes out on the market and the retail prices vary according to the one you choose. Personally i prefer classics and not very keen on trying out new and socially accepted things. On the comment of our airport, can the officials /building managers also try harder with the AC sha!

But Toke started hers some years back na

  14. Anon

    February 25, 2016 at 11:39 am

Toke is late to the Bond No 9 party. About 10 years late. Agreed, one bottle lasts for yonks. If you don’t like strong perfumes, avoid it. The mildest is Chelsea Flowers and even that one is on a “low scale” strong.
