AY MakunAyo Makun is a household name in the comedy industry in Nigeria, and his success, according to his latest instagram post has been the focus of “haters” who think he does not deserve all he has achieved.

The Comedy entrepreneur who just had the 10th anniversary of his show AY LIVE is tired of haters and trolls who do not see how much hardwork and sacrifice one goes through to have a great career and the good things of life.

He said,

Why is that some people around you just think you don’t deserve most of the things that God has blessed you with?
Why do they always look at things at the surface level? How come its always so easy for them to say you are not worthy of your fame, your popularity, your friends, your career, and other good things of life? Why can’t they just pay attention to the hardwork you had put in behind the scenes — your sacrifices, your
worries, your fears and the pains you’d gone through?
When are they going to stop seeing life as some kind of unnecessary competition?
When and how would haters deal with their feelings of inadequacy and inferiority? #OnlyGodcanjudge

Ay is not funny and I don’t think he’s really good at acting or comedy, but he’s been lucky and he’s also been a good businessman. I’m happy for his success.

Why shout out to Nene? This is what I am talking about. Why we Africans and specially we Nigerians when someone has an opinion they think they are haters. True there are haters out there but please my dear Stige Nene has not said anything bad on AY. She even said she is happy for him. Even myself I don’t think AY is funny.. but I am so afraid to voice my opinion before many Like you will interpret it as jealously or hatred. JESUS! ON us wenough AFRICANS…

The fact that one doesn’t agree with something or someone cannot and should not make one a hater. If Nene does not think the guy is funny, then maybe he isn’t. That’s her opinion. It doesn’t mean he’s not generally funny. Same way people don’t like Bitter leaf soup, Buhari, the UK, the colour red or people with facial hair. Live with it!

When all u “overnightcelebs” stop flaunting pics of houses , cars and designer outfits you have, to the detriment of the poor man, then haters will stop hating…Sometimes I wonder if they r truly haters, you celeb depress them with unnecessary show off(display of wealth) so that’s y they think u don’t deserve wat u show off, cos in truth some of these pple u show off to on social media, work 100times harder than u guys and never make quarter of what u claimed to have worked so hard for…..
