Kylie Jenner Claims she Started the Wig Trend, Zendaya & Gugu Mbatha-Raw are Marie Claire’s May 2016 Fresh Faces

Marie Claire magazine has unveiled the cover of the third-annual May fresh faces Issue and Zendaya is one of them! The Disney-princess was featured along with other young stars – Kylie Jenner, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ellie Goulding and Hailey Baldwin – who are making waves in their fields.

Kylie gets very bold about her own influence on the wig game: “I started wigs, and now everyone is wearing wigs. Kim just used my wig guy last night…I just do whatever I want to do, and people will follow.”

In the magazine, when Zendaya was asked if she worried about what others thought of here, Zendaya said, “I wore a freaking mullet to the Grammys. I felt like I was killing it. And I was. That’s all that should matter when you step out.”

Gugu weighed in on the lack of diversity at the Oscars this year. She said: ‘That’s the end of the race. The root of it is about having many, many stories told and having the people who hold he purse strings tell diverse and inclusive stories.
It’s got to go back to how films get green-lit in the first place.’
