Buhari with CNN's AmanpourPresident Muhammadu Buhari, in an interview with CNN’s Chief International Correspondent, Christiane Amanpour, has said that British Prime Minister, David Cameron made a honest statement when he said that Nigeria and Afghanistan are “fantastically corrupt”.

“He’s talking about what he knows about Nigeria and Afghanistan. And by what we are doing in Nigeria by the day, I don’t think you can fault him,” Buhari said.

Speaking on the $2.1 billion arms deal scam said that “those that were responsible (for procuring the arms) sat down as if they were going to have lunch or dinner, and shared (the money) and put it in their accounts”.

There is a difference between diplomacy and honesty. It takes wisdom to say the truth with diplomacy. Mr President, your word is more than an opinion, its a statement of fact, a business incentive, a tourist attraction and a reflection of the country.

I watched the interview and for me, the President spoke really well and those people that shared money as if its for a buffet should be sent to prison, all of them.
