Serah Luka

The Nigerian Army has confirmed the rescue of a second Chibok girl. This was disclosed in a statement by its Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman.

Read the statement below:

At about 11 AM on Thursday, May 19th 2016, troops of 231 Battalion, 331 Artillery Regiment (AR), Detachment of Armed Forces Special Forces (AFSF) 2, Explosive Ordinance (EOD) Team and Civilian Vigilante group of Buratai, conducted clearance operations at Shettima Aboh, Hong and Biladdili general area in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.

During the operations, the troops killed 35 Boko Haram terrorists and recovered several arms and ammunitions and other items. In addition, they rescued 97 women and children held captives by the Boko Haram terrorists.

We are glad to state that among those rescued is a girl believed to be one of the Chibok Government Secondary School girls that were abducted on 14th April 2014 by the Boko Haram terrorists. Her name is Serah Luka, who is number 157 on the list of the abducted school girls. She is believed to be the daughter of Pastor Luka.

During debriefing the girl revealed that she was a JSS1 student of the school at the time they were abducted. She further added that she hails from Madagali, Adamawa State. She averred that she reported at the school barely two months and one week before her unfortunate abduction along with other girls over two years ago.

She added that there other three girls who fled from Shettima Aboh when the troops invaded the area earlier today (Thursday) which led to their rescue. She is presently receiving medical attention at the medical facility of Abogo Largema Cantonment, Biu, Borno State.

Do you know that did not even cross my mind but when I first read the report but what came to my mind was ‘Nigeria we hail thee’. This is a subject that is very sensitive. No one wants to come out boldly and say these girls were not kidnapped so as not to sound wicked but the facts don’t add up.
First the First lady donates millions to their families, then next girls are popping up after fruitlessly searching for them for two years. And all this just happens to be the some days before one year anniversary of this administration. Continue to pull the wool over our eyes..

There is no “Serah Luka” on the list of abducted Chibok girls. I looked at all the lists on the internet.

One day, the truth about the Chibok girls kidnap will be known. For now, there is so much shrouded in fog

This is suspicious…all of a sudden one week to first year anniversary of this administration the chibok girls are emerging from the forest like zombies in a horror movie. This all seem to perfect, as if it is being orchestrated. I think the northern government and a group of people intentionally hid these girls – to be used to score points later. I think most of the girls will remain there until the goverment needs to divert attention from negative issues like fuel price increase. Another photo op for the folks at the villa. I think the whole matter from the very beginning is shameful and terrible. Majority of the girls were Christians- their lives really doesn’t matter to the northern elites – just like the herdsmen massacres. To them the souls being played with are souls of infidels – they simply don’t give a damn!

Wale. I think you sef see am so? This is bull crap.
I wonder who advises this President. No fear of God at all. I know girls were never abducted in such huge numbers. Abductions here and there , yes but 200+ from one school in the North all writing the WASCE? Mbanu.

A lot of people know deep down that Buhari is a monumental mistake. Those using him for their own political advancement are many and he is just a pawn in this game. The man is too old and out of it to see the wood for the trees. Present day Governance/Democracy is too complicated for this President.

My heart really goes out to the girls. Hope they get rehabilitated back into society.

Talking about rehabilitation, is it the federal government or state government’s job to rehabilitate these people?

So, any kidnapped victim in Nigeria should be taken care of by the Federal Government?

Let’s clarify the standards now because what is good for one, should be good for others, Chibok girls and beyond.

What roles do state governments play?

    Bella Naija, please post!

i am confused o. i thought they said the girls were WAEC students? and the pictures shown were those used for their WEAC registration (thus the head shots) and since we could not get full images of over 200 girls from their parents or friends or siblings we had to swallow the headshots and use our minds and imaginations to build up the rest of their bodies … but i digress….. back to story at hand… never was it mentioned that other students were kidnapped from the school so how did this JSS1 girl fall in to the loop of the kidnapped? or was she writing WAEC too? abeg my people make una look this face ( her pic is all over the internet and it has not been censored like our beloved BN) how could this girl have been in JSS1 or more so why was she on the Waec list for people writing physics ? APC and Buhari cohorts, please get ur stories straight na.. we know this chibok girl scam has dragged on for longer than anticipated, but we are not fools na… if you want to lie, at least give us a believable story please

Whether jss1 or ss3 I don’t care. A girl was kidnapped and has been rescued. I don’t this kind of thing happen to anyone of you shouting foul then you will know the scores.
