Queen Elizabeth II got candid about Chinese President Xi Jinping‘s visit to England in October 2015.
The Metropolitan Police Commander, Lucy D’Orsi told the queen that the Chinese officials walked out on her during their visit and the Queen replied her saying “They were very rude to the ambassador,”
Lucy replied her saying “It was very rude and very undiplomatic, I thought.”
The exchange was filmed by an “official cameraman” and distributed to journalists, which probably means the palace wanted to throw some royal “shade”. As of now, there’s no official response from China—but they have reportedly censored the conversation on BBC World TV.
