Breaking: At least 28 People Killed & Over 60 Injured in Suicide Bomb Attack on Istanbul Airport | Updated

At least 28 people dead and multiple wounded after two explosions rocked Istanbul’s Ataturk airport.

Turkey’s Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag has confirmed the tragic news.

It is being reported that the two suicide bombers are responsible for the attack and were also killed. According to Minister Bozdag, one attacker “first opened fire with a Kalashnikov then detonated himself” at the airport entrance.

Police fired shots to try to stop the attackers just before they reached a security checkpoint at the arrivals hall of the Ataturk airport but they blew themselves up, one of the officials said.

Two bombs exploded. One of them was located just outside the terminal on the pavement, the other was at the security gate at the entrance to the airport.

According to the minister, authorities said that no bomb was detonated within the airport building itself.

As at press time, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

      Sad news.

Meanwhile the next button is taking one to knorr website. BN, continue devaluing your brand oh, that is how it starts – desperate advertising tactics, zero proof reading etc

Hello Ndi, we take our user experience very seriously and ever since we began receiving reports of the “Next” button leading to ads, we have tried to rectify it. Unfortunately, we have not located a permanent fix.
It will be really helpful if we could get information on your browser and device. This will assist our developers in recreating the error in order to permanently fix.
We actually turn down intrusive ads such as pop-ups etc…Therefore, on no account will we purposefully connect our “next” button to ads.
      Thank you.

Thanks for the response BN. Much appreciated. Lately, the site seems to be having a number of technical issues, might be time to re-evaluate your developer / IT tech team.

      Thank you.
We have a major overhaul soon so fingers crossed, all that will be solved.
This issue seems to be the major complaint.
      We appreciate your feedback.

Ndi – when i clear my cache on my laptop it rectifies the problem. Clearing my cache on my other devices doesn’t work. – happens to me a lot too on all my devices with IE, Chrome and Safari. Quite frustrating.

Indeed very sad and scary to think of happy travelers passing through only to meet their untimely demise at the hands of these evil terrorists. It’s such a busy airport. God help us all.

My colleague is so shaken, her sister and family had a flight from Istanbul yesterday; she wasn’t sure of the flight time, only knew it was yesterday, she tried calling her and her phone was unreachable (they were already in flight), her mum in Turkey was already crying. They only just heard from the sister few hours ago, a very close call. The world is just in so much turmoil.
