As a reward, the management has given him a handshake and a photo-op

      July 2, 2016 at 11:26 pm

Lol. What else do you want him to get? Ok, Mgt should add a letter of commendation.

BN, Biko confirm did the Koko Master get married today?

    • Mama Jollof.

      July 3, 2016 at 2:20 am

If it were me i would take the money and cater for myself. What is a handshake going to do??? This bank will eventually eat this money by themselves – they will not use it for anything tangible; just for their selfish pleasures alone. This police isn’t smart. Nobody should ever take this kind of money back to the heartless thieves who loot everyday – you are only helping them. I wish they told us what they’d use the money for. Instead they gave my guy a handshake and squandered the 3.5 million on fancy trips. Our leaders deserve NOTHING from us. When you see a blessing you take it! It’s better in your struggling hands than in that of our callous upper echelons of society

      July 3, 2016 at 12:44 pm

@mama jollof….didnt you read where it said the money belonged to a customer and was found outside on the floor? Meaning it would be returned to the customer. I dont really get why people cannot read and understand simple sentences. It is really sad that you believe every successful business man has become a looter in Nigeria and would sitdown to share 3.5M found by a security guard on fancy trips!!!! pleehhhhhh

    • Mama

      July 3, 2016 at 12:58 pm

God bless you!!!! How about Tony Elumelu giving the guy $20k???? He is more than capable! Who photo op and handshake EP??? Yeye 419 UBA.

I commend this man. God has a way of rewarding a heart such as this. Naijas should be rewarding good people afterall the opposite of this is what happens more. This is a way to encourage ourselves that integrity and being truthful is better than corruption.
Tony, abeg give him a better job. Train him, to have a better position in the bank.

I know this is wrong but I wish Mr. ogbanago kept the money because when you steal from thieves, it’s not stealing.
Anyhow, since it’s stealing it’s not the right thing to do. I’m glad he did what’s right.

When you steal from thieves it is stealing unless you stole to return it to the person it was originally stolen from.

    • Honeycrown

      July 3, 2016 at 1:18 am

I forgot to put in quotes, “when you steal from thieves it’s not stealing” because I read it somewhere no be me think am. Make I no add plagiarism to the matter wey dey ground. I was trying to make an excuse for my feeling but my point fell flat. Oh well ….
@Delta geh, I know it’s stealing as I stated 2x in my original comment.
@Iris, it is still stealing even if you steal to return to the original person it was stolen from. You’re trying to correct me but still complicating yourself.

The very stuff Nigeria is made of, even though this narrative has been hijacked by corrupt political elites and spineless “follow the crowd” social climbers who are already rationalizing why they may not return the money!

For this chap, it was just the right thing to do. End of.

      July 3, 2016 at 12:41 am

All dis grammar on top wetin? Pls. Get your skanky ass off here.

    • Nakoms

      July 3, 2016 at 9:16 am

Hit a raw nerve there, I see. You prefer we start a debate on the pros and cons of returning what evidently does not belong to you.

Enough money. Ten percent of which is huge enough to pay your “tithe” and deaden the voice of your conscience, as you flaunt your ill gotten wealth in a two month orgy of conspicuous consumerist, social media exhibitionism. #na god win.

Hows that for grammar you silly rabbit!

    • Biker Chic

      July 3, 2016 at 10:52 am

While we are at it, go back to your first comment. You do not use ‘even’ and ‘though’ in a sentence! How about that for grammar???

    • Nakoms

      July 3, 2016 at 11:43 am

      Can’t deal!

What’s that saying of social media being the lowest common denominator of vulgar fractions! It democratises everything. Even morality!

    • Biker Chic

      July 3, 2016 at 12:15 pm

You go deal o. You are still speaking useless grammar!

    • Nakoms

      July 3, 2016 at 5:03 pm

Wow! Are you still there? This nincompoopian cocksplat of a guinea pig, whose only contribution to this dialogue of a worthy deed is to troll people’s comments. What positive angle or insight has mankind gained from having you on this platform. Gormless troll!

    • Biker Chic

      July 3, 2016 at 6:52 pm

I am going to look for a dictionary. Remember what they say when your audience can no longer understand you without a dictionary?
You are still not making sense. Just don’t burst an artery!

      July 3, 2016 at 8:29 pm

Hello Biker Chic. My sincere apologies, but you did come at me after my first post, and I’m not good at being told off. Not even good at this social media thing.

      My apologies again.

How does one misplace $10,000 in this present economy? He found it lying on the floor outside, seriously? How did the money get there? It definitely doesn’t have legs.

    • oyda

      July 3, 2016 at 1:12 am

I thought I was the only one thinking about how the money got there!!

It must be one of the bank official that brought it out to hide in a corner outside,, and take it it after clocking out for the day. Most bank officials na ole. I don’t think he just found it right in front of the bank, but there is no doubt he found it outside the bank. The Person involved must be so mad!

May Allah reward him. He must have the wisdom to know that life is temporary and one day he will meet with Allah to give account. Why loose your soul over 10k that cannot even sustain you for that long? Money finishes but the wrath of God can be everlasting. We need more people like him with this wisdom.

The same people calling the security guard all sorts of name are still the same people who will insult, castigate Our leaders like Diezani Allison, Olisa Metuh,Dasuki,Tinubu,Rotimi Ameachi that they are corrupt

    • Iris

      July 3, 2016 at 1:54 pm

Thank you. People here are saying ‘I will keep it because the economy is bad.’ That is how it starts. The Diezanis and Amaechis and Odilis of the world were once ordinary citizens like you and used that mentality when they got into positions of power.

      July 3, 2016 at 2:22 pm

Thank you. That is the hypocrisy of Nigerians for you. Do as I say not as I do. From the comments above, I can categorically say a great percentage of them will loot if given the opportunity – truly truly a nation gets the leaders it deserves.

Mohammed’s display of honesty and integrity is commendable. I’m sure he will have no cause to regret returning that money… Many may think is that it but more will come. I know a security man who did similar years ago. Recently he got into trouble at work and they dug up his file and based on what he did he was exonerated. #honestypays

at least money token should be given to the man, or better still do something more helpful for him, either educate him or train one of his kid for him to a certain level.
