The United States government says it has no information on the allegations leveled against the first lady, Aisha Buhari concerning the Halliburton Scandal.

This is contained in an email sent to PUNCH‘s Correspondent by the acting Public Affairs Officer, US Consulate General, Lagos, Frank Sellin on Tuesday.

Frank in the email response to PUNCH’s enquiry said: “Thank you for the inquiry.  We have no information to provide on this matter.”

Recall that Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state had alleged that Aisha was indicted in the Halliburton scandal that led to the conviction of American Congressman, Williams Jefferson in 2009.

The information is selective. It’s only provided for those Buhari has personal problems with and wants to intimidate.
His fight against corruption is biased.

“”We have no information to provide on this matter.”” I get you. You have no information TO PROVIDE. Not that you have no information but that you have no information TO PROVIDE i.e. no information that you are willing to provide because for now, it doesn’t suit your interests. Whenever Buhari steps out of line or doesn’t play ball or finds your greedy demands too greedy even for greedy and doesn’t see just how much more he can mortgage Nigeria and Nigeria’s future and resources to you and your western allies such as the UK, you will all of a sudden discover your amazing abilities as Nigeria’s greatest PROVIDER in the information department.

See this right here, the conspiracy theories, why we don’t progress. What resources does the West want that they don’t already get in the Middle-East or that they soon won’t need?

I guess you don’t understand international politics, so you think its only about oil resources or direct economic interests..

Maybe I’m late to this party, but I just found and read (I love Google) the case/judgement that Fayose referenced. The judgement also mentions Kachikwu’s younger brother and Atiku. If you’re as jobless as me, here ‘’

Punch should try to find the name of the bank where the wire came from.
