In as much as I rejoice with them, what is WRONG with our EDUCATION system back here in Nigeria that we all wanna go abroad and who destroyed it???

    • Lol

      July 12, 2016 at 8:34 pm

Umm no Nigerian university is in the top 1,000. Alongside cramming, low critical thinking, abusive and rapist lecturers, cultists, repression and over-regulation to create a fake guise of morality….etc

And it wasn’t Buhari that destroyed it. Please people should stop being in denial. The Nigerian educational system is not good. It’s not even okay- and it gets worse everyday. Buhari pulling his children out of uk to send them to Nigeria isn’t good. I’m pretty sure if you have the money, you’ll send yours abroad as well. Cut the stories

      That is qwestion 1.
Hummm Buhari has just issued a vote of no confidence in nigerias educational system. A system he is leading. So Na our children fit idiot level education offered here. That is injustice oh. God no dey sleep oh.

    • Oh please

      July 12, 2016 at 10:16 pm

Oh for crying out loud, not this topic again. Same thing when Osibanjo’s daughter graduated. Did some of you really expect these kids to be pulled out of their Unis when their fathers were sworn in? Get real

And to answer your question, hmm I don’t know…maybe it’s the bribes, strikes, lack of trained teachers, disrespectful and sexist authorities, lack of critical thinking lessons or the worst of them all, ridiculous fees for a degree that is worth nothing outside our country.

If after his tenure is over & there’s no progress, we can comment on this issue then.

This Family is so out of touch with the average Nigerian suffering! I am beginning to detest this Aisha Buhari, she does not have wisdom at all, according to Kenneth Hagin”is like she isgot noodles for brains”Peshe come even better pass this woman for my eye sef! She and her kids always projecting themselves like very shallow opportunistic scums! God forgive me! They should enjoy it while it last!as I doubt Buhari will last on that seat until the end of the year except he listens to the masses! Psalm 9:9″ The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,A stronghold in times of trouble.”Psalm9:18 “But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish”. This jumped out to me when I was reading my Bible this morning and there are righteous people in Nigeria,so the wicked will perish!

Lacey, Lacey, Lacey. How do you sleep at night? your hypocrisy knows no bounds. You call God’s name in this bile laden comment? I bet you also fly on a broom at night to know Buhari will not last till the end of the year? Look at your mouth dripping blood. Hypocrite oshi.

Even the children of mere civil servants study abroad! Blame Buhari for everything but not this one. However, Nigerians are hurting, they should have kept their graduation pictures to themselves

Im not sure i have the words to reply this question. Like are you in anyway comparing Nigerian education to that of the Americans, the British and so on??? Nigeria lacks everything proper education needs, so please do not compare.. Untill the standard of the education has been lifted i advice noone who wants something for himself to settle for what we have in Nigeria.

So sad…even the first family does not support the nigerian educational system they talk so much about, when their children don’t seat in the classes with average nigerians, don’t have a taste of poor hostels, of protests and strikes, can they really relate to what they preach so much about?

    July 12, 2016 at 9:47 pm

It’s so easy to sit and critize them for not sending their kids to Nigerian Schools. Erm how many of you would do the same if you were in there shoes? And if they are graduating now, that means they’ve been in that Uni before the presidency (or not). But the bottom line is, stop the hypocrisy, most of you would never think twice if you ever have the means to send your kids abroad. We all want the BEST for our kids, government servants or not! Congratulations guys! Hurry and come back let’s build our nation 🙂

@ That Girl. …most Nigerians like myself detest pretense.
Either you are a nationalist or you are not.
      Embrace what you are!
If you don’t patronize ” made in Nigeria”, be proud enough to say you don’t.
      Deceit is corruption!
      Congrats to them.

The comments here so far so shallow! What does their graduation from a UK unit have to do with food on our tables? Is Buhari or any of his forefathers responsible for the dearth of our educational system? Did they commission bribery and corruption in the system, did they pocket the funds meant for the development of the research labs? Please wake up to the real issues in our country and stop paying attention to what does not concern your stomach.

One thing I know about God is that He works miracles.

    President Buhari couldn’t afford form.

He could afford tuition in England for 2 kids at the same time.

    Jesus never fails.

people should let this family be, for them to be graduating now means they were already in the UK studying before they became the first family, did you expect their father to pull them out to please Nigerians? even average families in Nigeria send their kids abroad to study not to talk of an ex- president, forget it, Buhari is a rich farmer, and Aisha has a good business running for her before she became the first lady, she is a beauty Therapist, she even studied in the UK and France, so she can afford to send her kids to study abroad. Buhari is not the cause of poor educational system in Nigeria.

Assuming we start fixing the educational sector of the country, how long do you think it would take to:
    – fix infrastructure
    – turn around morally bankrupt lecturers
    – train aforementioned lecturers on modern realities (e.g C.S lecturers that still teach Fotran and have no clue what Ruby-On-Rails is)
    – Drive e-learning (using aforementioned tech-illiterate lecturers)
    – improve R&D with sufficient funding (provided they don’t steal it)
    – Change curriculum to reflect modern realities
    – Get ASUU on board with your plans (if ASUU was so concerned, they would have done something about sexual abuse, instead of always fighting for salary increase)
    – Do all of this with the meagre fees paid by students
    – Ensure all students being admitted into universities possess prerequisite K.S.As
    – Vanquish cultism.

If na me sef, I would rather put my kids abroad, while I try to solve these issues, than form leading by example

Your people are suffering. universities on strike, no light no water deplorable living conditions for university students and there you are proudly parading your foreign educated children to the world to see. No shame, no conscience . This is the one we are supposed to trust to lead the fight against corruption. loooooooooool. signss. Nigeria. CHOI.
What i expect from a leader? you feed your followers before helping yourself to the national cake. fix the educational system in nigeria as a matter of URGENCY and place your children in national institutions. fix the hospitals in the country as a matter of URGENCY then get treated HERE. That is what a God fearing God chosen leader should do. we have never had one of these in nigeria. thats why the country is like it is and will remain like it is. Buhari does not Believe in Nigeria, he will never endorse anything nigerian for his family because he knows fully well it is substandard and therefore not befitting of humans. That is what that picture depicts. If he was educated he’d know to hid these facts or perhaps he understands how gullible nigerians are and how we follow blindly without reasoning.

Will their kids drop out of school so they can prove to Nigerians they have confidence in the educational system ? Get real … I bet if your fathers were up there you would also school abroad …. Please swallow some pain relievers and ask God to help you in this country, also pray that the system and country as a whole will get better

Some comments will almost make you enter your system and punch the bastard. How long does it take to graduate from Uni, so because Buhari won Presidential election last year he should ask his children to come back here to study. Haba, make una use una brain na.
Even ordinary Nigerians send their children abroad to study. Was he terrible poor before becoming your president.

You must be a product of the zombie education offered in nigeria. Some of us were resilient and the seeds of idiocracy did not take root in us. I see the seeds found a fertile ground to take root and germinate in you. I pray they find a cure for your nigerian ism .

My own is just that all the time, he was banning/making ATM withdrawals expensive, his kids were abroad as well?? As a father who obviously gives his kids allowance, you would think he will be more understanding yet he made the rest of us who study outside the country suffer a great deal with the whole bank nonsense. Many parents recruited the children back because of this hardship, that wasn’t even there before.
