Fans Go In on Yomi Casual for Posting Video of Child Street Beggars

This evening, designer Yomi Casual posted a video of street beggars and captioned it, “I wish these kids and their parents know we also have our problems”, with a monkey emoji where he’s covering his ears.

His fans have criticized him for the statement, and he’s responded saying he’s generous to a fault, but sometimes they keep on coming and that can be overwhelming.

yes we all have problems, even Dangote…but we can all help each other out in our areas of deficiency, thats the main reason we are here. the moment we discover this truth, we begin to really live

We all know where YOMI is coming from but taking to social media to mocked them is uncalled for.. He should just apologized and moved on instead of the typical Naija man slang.. “Go and ask about me” lol

I’m so tired of that “ask about me” bit.. his track record sucks.. God has a way of dealing with people who start to feel too big to be grateful for their blessings…

I pray he does @ATL’s finest, the advent of social media kinda sucks and more disturbing is the loss of decency, morals and the ‘OK’ to post totally whatever in the name of its my page.
This is why i don’t even laud their good deeds coz its all for attention, likes & comments.

Isn’t this the same guy who said fans should feel priviledged to follow him on IG?
Same guy who dumped his day one chick who stood by him when he was nothing because she wasn’t “tush” enough meanwhile he chills in Lekki with his “fiance” and ignores his kid, not to talk of the numerous side chicks (Hi, Grace) he keeps?
What gives this ugly, woman disrespecting, marginally talented, foul mouthed asshole the right to be arrogant in any manner, shape or form?
Oh, wait! His brother is AY!
    Must run in the family….

I don’t see why you decided to put someone’s personal life on a blog. You’re just as ignorant as he is, don’t you people know where to draw the line?

This guy is insensitive and arrogant. It’s sad enough that they are begging for food while others like you can eat three square meals, You don’t have to embarrass them and their family by taking their video and putting it on social media. Or you think they don’t have families. These kids can be great people in future, you are not their oxygen and God will raise compassionate people to help them.

How would he feel if he was filmed begging to pay his bills?

  16. Mia

    August 8, 2016 at 4:54 am

This is so sad… the fact that he can’t see why he’s wrong, and the fact that people are actually supporting him in this. There’s no excuse for filming the street kids just to berate and shame them on social media. If you don’t want to give, simply don’t give.

Recieve Sense Yomi! Remind us again what was the sole aim of putting this out??? What was achieved? People who genuinely are sensitive to the plights of others need not “rant” nor “mouth it”

i’m a ghanaian and i do not know this guy but please hands off on children(no matter their background). You think if they had their way they will be on the streets begging you for something that will not satisy their needs to even talk about their wants? please come again and don’t try to justify your actions…sometimes you need to accept your mistakes cos you’re human and fallible.
