Tolerance, and to help us understand that most media celebrities are waving but drowning. We are more similar than different. Just different struggles.

You mean the kind of “tolerance” he himself was against when he was supporting the intolerance of gay Nigerians? He should have the right to bleach, cross dress and sleep with whomever he chooses if you ask me. But there has to be more to character to be given a spot on such a stage other than noise and trivial nonsense. Everyone has their lane based on his or her qualification, expertise and knowledge. If the objective was about tolerance, maybe invite some like Denrele or someone else, not a total joke like this who wants to use self hate and intolerance to gain publicity and fame.

BS to your tolerance. Forget about him being gay what qualified him to be on the panel. what level of experience, expertise, advice does he have. So, we are celebrating mediocrity and foolishness now. I hate how gays/ transgenders think everybody is hating on them because of who they choose to F and wear dusty makeup. What about you are just annoying and forcing your 15min fame. Y’all hate on Toke and Linda ikeji when they speak about social media but support this guy.

The level of hypocrisy going on in this world is starting to get out of hand. You people will condemn bleaching but are turning bobrisky, pele and others into millionaires. Who is buying?

A panel should be diverse no??? I personally think they shouldn’t have dropped out. It’s like when this christian baker refused to bake a cake for a gay couple. Speaking at the conference is not an endorsement of his lifestyle.

    We all can’t be…..☺

Why do some Nigerians feel the need to form accent?? Is it that they can’t help it or what?

I don’t approve of him the way I don’t approve of or encourage poor health choices. This man is an advocate of skin bleaching. I don’t care who he sleeps with as long as it involves consensual adults. However I draw the line when a person encourages self hate and peddles poision. I don’t know how or why he has been given a platform to sell his poision but I pray someone puts an end to this nonsense real quick. These are the sort of people that are deserving of 14 years jail term. he has absolutely noting positive to contribute to civilised society. He makes a mockery of genuine hard work, boost about getting money from a rich person, and his skin bleaching effects. Tufiakwa.

There are ways to bleach the skin without affecting the body negatively, I hope you know that?
You don’t care who he sleeps with but you care what he does with HIS body? It’s HIS body, not yours, not mine, not anybody else’s and he can do WHATEVER he wants with it. Someone makes PERSONAL choices that in no way adversely affects anyone else and you think he deserves to go to jail. You’re a bigot. Covering it up with the “I don’t care who he sleeps it” thingy isn’t gonna deceive anyone. We see right through you.

But they will kneel down & associate themselves with these wealthy thieves and dirty emir perverts.
They also wouldn’t have dropped out If Kim Kardashian, Amber Rose, & Blacc Chyna were on the panel though.

Nigerians would rather be in the presence of the lowest set of humans- perverts, rapists, thieves, criminals, than be in presence of gays. Like gays are personally hurting them. That’s when their confused asses start quoting bible & Quran verses. Nigerian men are the ones to loudly echo marital vows on their wedding day, run to church/mosques every week yet still remain the top customers at brothels, strip clubs, and hotels. I see you religious hoes. x

So what is your problem with rapist, lowest form of perverts. After all its not your body they are using. You got selective bigotry loooooool, how very good of you. After all this man just brags about prostitution (probably with a married man) and glorifies body dysmorphia. Well if he is a good thing then i pray that your kids, nieces, nephews, aunties , uncle will all decide to bevome just like bobrisky. @ a fake ass nigerian and Bruno Now say AMEN and recieve your blessing as you ANIT NO HYPOCRITE/ BIGOT. PUT YOUR MONEY WERE YOUR BIG MOUTH IS. I DARE YOU.
For the rest of us who do not approve of this mans prostitution and body dysmorphia may non in our generation ever turn out like this. I say a big fat AMEN to that. I stand by my words unlike fakeass bloody hypocrites.

    A bunch of hypocrites!!!

You are free to love Bobrisky for his personality but you are also stupid for supporting that he should head a panel for new media.
This is what is inspiring to y’all. Why not Toke Makinwa? Why wasn’t she invited to talk about how social media has helped her get to where she is? Why not Genevieve? People with actual talents, that are leading social media with likes, followers on each platform. People that spend time working and we can see it.

A runs boy that flaunts his riches online is what you find inspiring and okay. If it was a woman we will be singing a different song.
It was just some weeks back that you all condemned Vera Sidika for her lifestyle, why not Bobrisky who is also a runs boy.

The problem is not that Bobrisky is sleeping with a man, the problem is that he engages in it for money and we condemn this on a normal day but with him, we find it okay. The same people spend time condeming Dencia.
Is that not hypocrisy to the marrow?!!!!
The problem is that you know that he is sleeping with ‘bae’ for money but you choose to say people hate him because he is gay.
Denola Grey is effeminate but do you think people will pull out of the event because Denola will be speaking there,
If Vera was invited to talk or any other girl that you think is a runs girl, I am sure she will be condemned and the comments will be in support of those that dropped out. But now its time to support Bobrisky.
I don’t even mind what Bobrisky does with his anus but to put this one to speak at a conference is just wrong. Haba Nigerians!
    Lost priorities.

    • A Real Nigerian

      October 27, 2016 at 11:21 pm

“I don’t even mind what Bobrisky does with his
      anus…”
You can always easily spot the bigot with the cleverly hidden shot at homosexuality whilst trying to sound rational. Nice try, Nancy. We see right through you.

    • BlueEyed

      October 28, 2016 at 2:29 am

Funny thing is I agree with you ARN, people who say “I don’t support homosexuality per se” “or I don’t care what they do with their anus” or ” I’m cool with it just that my religion forbids it” those ones are the types of bigots gay people should run away from, they probably know a few good gay people around them and might be friends with people in the LGBTQ, but the harsh reality is if push come to shove their real bile and hateful spirit will be front and center. People like that should be avoided not on the grounds of homosexuality alone but also human intolerance.

    • LemmeRant

      October 28, 2016 at 9:12 am

      @BlueEyed

But the issue here is not about being gay. The people who dropped out of the conference (and they have every right to do so didn’t drop out because he was gay. They dropped out cause they felt he had nothing relevant to add and from most of the comments being made here nobody is disputing that fact. All everybody is talking about is “gay”, “hollier than thou”, “judgemental”

    • Mr. Egghead

      October 27, 2016 at 11:49 pm

      @Nancy
This is a conference on New Media. That is the most important part of this equation. It is not a conference on bringing up children correctly, preservation of Nigerian morals or preparing evaporated breast milk. You can’t compare Denola with Bobriskyy because the latter has leveraged new media in much more infinite multiples of magnitude.

Behind all Subomi’s flowery language and Bashir’s gbagauns, you can see that their problem with Bobrisky’s participation is his ‘behaviour’ and not his competence to discuss the topic of New Media. A sane person would have simply declined the invitation and moved on. Instead Subomi the Holy One came down from the right hand of God to displace Pope Francis with her moralistic ranting.
If you say you have no problems with “Bobrisky does with his anus”; then what else is your problem? Why can’t a new media sensation speak at a conference on new media?

I agree that Subomi and Bashir have the prerogative to decline or accept any invitation. But their methods expose a rotten underbelly of intolerance and bigotry.

      October 28, 2016 at 5:48 pm

Spot on Nancy. Bobrisky gives gay people a bad name. he is a prostitute who flaunts it without shame. I wont eat on the same table that pig eats.

  9. Nancy Preach!

    October 27, 2016 at 11:21 pm

My best friend is gay and I love him that way, but I will tell you preach!!!!! I’ve not been in support of this for the same reason, I think it is hypocritical simple.

The attack is hardly because he is effeminate! Hardly!

    Preach it!

    • Marlvina

      October 27, 2016 at 11:44 pm

So does that mean you should condone evil and sin? Allowing sentiments rule you. You can’t say preach to something you don’t stand for! That’s hypocrisy.

  10. Marlvina

    October 27, 2016 at 11:26 pm

This issue is not about love, it’s more about morals, values, principles. It’s just like inviting bobrisky to a church convention to speak on a particular topic during one of the sessions. Imagine Daddy Adeboye, Kumuyi and Oyedepo invited too for the same session. What would the congregation think or these other speakers about the session? It makes a mockery of the entire program. People who have chosen their paths, should know where they belong. Don’t come and pollute others or a gathering with your viewpoint. Organize your own event and speak to your own!

    • A Real Nigerian

      October 28, 2016 at 12:15 am

Your analogy doesn’t make much sense. This is about new media and someone like Bobrisky being invited to speak is not out of place no matter what you think about him. What morals and value and principles are you talking about? Some of the so-called men of God you conveniently mentioned practice false christianity and brainwash their members in the name of religion so as to enrich their pockets. So much for values. The fact that you used the word “pollute” says a lot about you and your mindset.
      and oh… “Daddy Adeboye”??? *cringe*

    • Marlvina

      October 28, 2016 at 7:33 am

Sex Worker coming to hold a lecture on how sex sells. Looooool. Nigeria!!. In the quest for being modern we just misconstrue everything. There is noting new about sex and sales. The guy is a designer right? However its not his designes that brought him to lime light abi? Its he’s provocative comments on social media and he’s ( for want of a better word his alterative life style.) thst brought him to the lime light. If we want to know how to use sex to up sales i can ask a sex work for free.

Tolerance works both ways. I’m a big supporter of lgbt rights but i hate that people who don’t accept their lifestyles are insulted for sticking to their beliefs.

Tolerance works both ways. The people who dropped out of the panel had every right to drop out and they shouldn’t be attacked for it the same way this guy had every right to be on the panel since he was invited by the organisers. Live your life as you see fit, accept the things you accept, love who you want to love but please don’t hate on those who do not promote your lifestyle and don’t want to be associated with you.

    Life is not that deep.

Okay oh. I am judgemental, I am intolerant. there I said it.

I will not sit on a panel with Bobrisky because I still have freedom of association as my fundamental human right and that right will be exercised by choosing who to appear on a panel with.

I am not obligated to approve of you, be tolerant of you etc. As long as I do not cause you any harm intentionally either physically or emotionally ( I said intentionally cause People can like to be sensitive) then I haven’t broken any laws. You can’t force me to like, approve of or associate with anyone, that will be abusive to me.

So yes I am a intolerant and I support those who will not sit on a panel with bobrisky. Shoot me.

Ehn, still, I have no idea how it affects you personally. Most people are jealous because they don’t have the kind of courage Bobriskky has to live his life on his own terms and f*&k what everyone else thinks! He does him! To the fullest! And it irks people because he won’t conform.
