Choreographer Kaffy is not here for Davido.

According to her, several dancers trained and rehearsed with Davido for the 3 Thrones concert, only for him to cancel at the last minute.

She calls him out saying that it is unfair that after receiving millions of Naira for a show he treats dancers disrespectfully on top of the pittance that they receive.

She said “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! It’s alright if artiste don’t need us . We are artistes ourselves . It is very disrespectful for you to look down at and trample on people who in one way or the other contribute to where u are today. Dance is our widows mite to a lot of your careers . All u need to do is respect us. Even other people under you suffer ur arrogance from stylist to band men. This message is for those of you that disrespectfully disregard us dancers especially @davidoofficial if u don’t want dancers express it way before U agree to allow them dance than when u about to climb the stage u decide u don’t need us again.or tell dancers not to come near u while u perform .wtf. It’s not ur fault we have learnt our lesson and we thank arrogant artiste like u as this will not continue for long. Nowadays artiste take a piss. People pay a lot of money to see u come out and give a good show it requires more than u jumping all over the place with no content . Even some artiste in other countries who perform alone still plan their craft. They practice they rehearse the Are never tired of doing better than their last. But here most don’t care only few like @peterpsquare and @rudeboypsquare @2niteflavour @tiwasavage @efya_nokturnal @iamseyishay @dareydarey even @jidenna a one man performer plans his craft for his fans. (This is to mention a few out of the few) to those who still respect our craft.”

Lol. Is it by force to dance for someone? ?

They were approached by the ‘arrogant artists’. They’ve spent time and energy on rehearsal, that’s significant enough. (Little something: if you provide any kind of services you cannot underestimate the place of signing conracts with terms that help to reduce risks such as this).

but on second thots, this is nigeria and if you sue for breeach of contract, it might be in the court for years, nobody has time for that, you know. and also sad but true one party might bribe their way out. Its understandable why she is reacting this way.

That is not the point, you don’t cancel on people you have made with plans with on the spur of the moment. Those people have probably been rehearsing for weeks.

@missappleberry, what kind of selfish comment is that, seems you’re related to davido. He wasted people’s time, energy and devotion to perfect his act only to drop them at the last minute. Don’t just jump to comment, read, comprehend and apply wisdom.

Mo wa confused….Why is auntie ranting like a hyena
Onilu ni owun o fe dancers…na by force to dance
Abeg hold your craft with the same tired ass dance moves
I get that Mr OBO was rude and telling them just before they went on stage is a big no no but even auntie could have handled this better.
Also didnt they sign contract or na verbal agreement, so i am sure she can take him to court based on that
A simple and sharp press release would have been more classier than these toutish rants
She forgets that she herself is a brand and this dosen’t reflect well on her
As for OBO ..karma will eventually catch up with him and his oblong head

    • biiiiiiiiii

      October 26, 2016 at 8:42 am

u heard hyenas rant… common geh! i pray thee sense!

    • Bella

      October 26, 2016 at 10:22 am

@Dami, your comment makes a lot of sense, she is older and mature and has been in the game for a lil more than a bit, so didn’t she think to have a contract and stop all this useless ranting on Social media. Your craft should always be covered by a contract, at this your age, biko, if you haven’t learnt how harsh this industry is then its a bit too late for you aunty o. Instead of ranting like a mad woman, get your contract out and attend to it with the attorneys that serve you best, and those millions OBO got, will also pass your river! If not and you still dance with no contract, biko, find another career, time is running out.

Soooooooo let me git this…. Davido won’t let dancers touch him on stage but is raw-dogging groupies?? hmmm….makes a lot of sense, Like a LOT.

p.s. ‘….jumping all over the stage with no content…” fellow BNers please do not let this beautifully phrased shade get lost in the overall message.

    • Thatgidigirl

      October 26, 2016 at 10:03 am

Lmao!!!! The only type of dancers he likes to touch are the one that can dance okorogba on his bed.

    October 26, 2016 at 8:06 am

seems like she has had enough. Also we are not surprised that Davido acted like that

  8. ifiii

    October 26, 2016 at 8:16 am

This is why people should sign contracts when doing business so things like this don’t happen. This is too disrespectful. Kaffy is right they just come to jump and bounce on stage no content. We have a long way to go.

  9. Danielle

    October 26, 2016 at 8:17 am

Davido is narcissistic in nature. He thinks he is better than everyone. Life is a rollercoaster, today u r on top tomorrow you might be below. Beauty, talent n skills can only get you as far, character is what takes you all the way.

    • BeautifulJewels

      October 26, 2016 at 3:13 pm

And that One character he lacks… well maybe he is just acting his age. youthful exuberance..

jumping all over the stage with no content…very deep

  11. Almo

    October 26, 2016 at 8:56 am

Musicians expect other people to respect their craft so the should do the same to other professionals in the industry, Davido may have had a valid reason to cancel at the last minute but he should of at least compensated the dancers for the time and money spent preparing for the show and not dismissed them like rags! Never forget what it was like before you were ‘Davido’ stay humble cause karma is a bi*ch!

  14. Marian

Some of them no dey try at all.
They just carry mic and mime. You stay wondering if you paid to be at a concert or karaoke something.
Fuji concerts are the worst. Artist will carry mic and turn concert to owambe. Unless Asa is perfoming live somewhere close to me or it’s a gospel concert i don’t think i’m ever going to a naija concert again

    • Janet

      October 27, 2016 at 6:25 pm

And you will see sentimental n emotionally blinded crowd dancing and smiling as if the performance is they don’t think at all…. They are just soo shallow… Both musician n listeners.

  15. Suga

    October 26, 2016 at 9:58 am

OK, what ever that must have transpired. Why must Kaffy make this a public matter. Why didn’t she take it up directly with Davido or whoever else. People should learn how to handle their matters directly and privately so as to avoid saga as issues always never end up well when handled this way. Awaiting Davidos clapback as the drama have just begun!

  16. Omoté

    October 26, 2016 at 9:59 am

Lol! Av always said it! Most of dem come, bounce up n down n grab their balls n lip sync for us. Only very few give true stage performances.

  17. Asa

    October 26, 2016 at 10:24 am

This kind of behavior must be on going issue for her to go out lIke this. I can’t stand smart people like that. They are always think they are better than others. Unfortunately such is a life.

  18. Zeeebby

    October 26, 2016 at 11:04 am

.”jumping all over the stage with no content…” I have always said it, except ASA, Soweto gospel, Efya and a few other I cannot pay my hard earned money for a Nigerian concert just to have them jump up and down the stage while shouting off key in their saggy pants and sweating like goat. I watched the MAMAs last night and I almost cried at Wizkid’s performeance of Ojuelegba…. The uncle should have just kept quiet…. he just ruined the beautiful instrumental and soweto gospel

Flavour performing live…amazing. One of the best artists out of Naija.

    October 26, 2016 at 11:22 am

Lesson learnt here, sign an iron clad contract before agreeing to anything business dealing, but having it on paper forces both parties to deliver,.. I’m a firm believer in having a paper trail, saves a lot of headaches & misunderstanding especially when conducting business..
Whether or not the contract can be enforced in Nigeria is a different story all together..
I dedicate a track by Adekunle Gold, “Ariwo” to Davido, like the song goes “empty barrel lo pari wo ju” ☺️☺️

  22. Flexe

    October 26, 2016 at 11:56 am

So not fair. Davido did not try at all. Good she called him out, that would put fear in the hearts of other artistes trying to pull a Davido.

  23. Mrs chidukane

    October 26, 2016 at 11:56 am

Was just talking about davido’s arrogance yesterday. I understand her pain. She probably thought he was a stand up guy. Just get a contract next time.

  24. FinchleysFinest

    October 26, 2016 at 11:57 am

Hey Guys… its not about signing contracts.. Check the video again and analyse the issue here.. Its about you coming upfront to tell them you don’t need them. And if you’ll do it… do it early..so they can move on. Its not even about paying them (After all they get paid little for doing so much and putting so much excellence in such a poor written music )

Its about Davido’s arrogance (Yeah..its no longer news that I don’t like Davido…coming from a little kid that made a comment : “wHEN YOURE BIG YOURE BIG” right after some ladies were raped at his concert).

And read Kaffy’s post and not only the video… Acts like PSquare.. & Tiwa try as much as possible to put in dancers and they put up good work….

I don’t blame people buying Davido’s music….some of these girls go for this show so they can claim baby mama….

Let me go and figure out my FUTURE abeg..

  25. Thats not the way to go about it

    October 26, 2016 at 12:25 pm

    1. You gats hear fromt he other person before yall conclude. Always quick to judge and side someone

    2. That is not the way to go about it Kaffy, you are more matured. You should be able ot handle well, send a mail or dm or somth, if he declines then you can go all out. The way you were ranting shows you belong to the same class

    3. Was the dancer paid? You practice/rehearse to be paid. If the person paid you and decided he doesnt want you again, quietly shift as long as you have been paid. She did mention that they were paid peanuts…this seem to me somebody wanna tag along. wanna dance for someone in a major event by force.

    4. When you call out someone in the open, be ready for whatever comes with it. You as a matured lady, you go way down to his level, thank your stars it is not olamide. You for hear am and his street people. Davido replied with a “fuck you to haters” with his fans lashing her.. well you deserve it. If you cant stand the heat, comon gerrout of the kitchen

    5. How come at your level there is no contract, no written eish? Court for settle all these if there were written stuffs. Are you people so little and hungry that you accept the artiste for peanuts?

As for me, both of them are kids.
If you call somebody out, be ready for whatever
You ranting like this shows you belong to the same class

    • Yaks

      October 27, 2016 at 7:56 am

There is what is called a verbal contract and it holds in court. You are a ranting fool yourself.

    • Thats not the way to go about it

      October 27, 2016 at 9:27 am

      Yaks,
your father, mother, siblings, entire generation are fools and imbeciles
      deal!

  26. Lala

    October 26, 2016 at 12:26 pm

You all are saying to sign contracts as if you guy’s don’t realise that Nigerians don’t honour contracts. I have seen a high court judge who did not honour tenancy contracts. I practised law in Nigeria and the majority of our populace dont honour contracts and other signed legal agreements. Even pastors did not honour signed agreements.
Try evicting Nigerians from a house as a lawyer following all requirements of law and they still will not comply, instead they resort to juju. The politicians in Nigeria are just the same as the people.

    October 26, 2016 at 2:19 pm

I agree, I will not go to one of these types of concerts where the artist is horsed-voiced singin over a track he did 5 years ago, jumping all over the stage with no coherent artistry. It’s annoying and aggravating

    • phateye

      October 26, 2016 at 3:34 pm

Thank you. I’d rather just hold up the artiste’s photo, and play his/her songs @home..why pay to listen to a CD I already have. Abeg the thunder fire David yet?

  28. BeautifulJewels

    October 26, 2016 at 3:08 pm

then dont tell them to come rehearse. its as simple as that.

  29. Run Mouth

    October 26, 2016 at 6:12 pm

Lol!! The dude knows how to really jump around the stage like a toad. Nice call out Kaffy. We need to call a spade a spade! To all those calling Kaffy names for sharing and expressing her pains are dumb, and stupid at the same time.

  30. Nystyle

    October 27, 2016 at 2:21 pm

Like one said…there’s no mistake in life there only lessons..so,kaffy already learnt her lesson,nd davio ehm nort try at all…hope he’s going to apologize

  32. Aisha

    October 28, 2016 at 1:29 am

Kaffy needs an icon-clad contract which stipulates that artists need to pay her 100% of the agreed fees before she jets out to the performance.
Davido is having fun because he knows that contracts trump mere words.
I pity him and other artists because this just goes to show that they have no values they abide by.
There is no friendship where business is concerned. Always have a bullet-proof contract ooooh!
