7UP Joins “Art X Lagos” to Showcase the Best of African Visual Arts in Nigeria!

The maiden edition of Art X Lagos, West Africa’s first international contemporary art fair is set to hold between Friday, November 4 and Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island.

The exhibition, co-sponsored by 7UP will feature a selected group of invited art galleries from Nigeria, South Africa, Mali, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Cameroon and across Africa and the Diaspora, showcasing the most innovative contemporary art by over 60 established and emerging artists, as well as interactive projects and presentations, with live areas for performance artists, illustrators and graffiti artists.

The fair will also include a session called “Intersections”, a one-of-a-kind fusion of music and art with Nigerian acts, Falana, Simi, Vector, Ikon, Poe performing their music alongside visual artists presenting their works during Art X Live!

With this event, Art X Lagos alongside 7UP, a brand well known as a strong supporter of creativity in Nigeria, hopes to contribute to the increased visibility of contemporary artists from Africa, creating a vibrant art market and positioning Lagos as an emergent cultural capital on the continent.
