Donald Trump has released a statement following the widespread response to his executive order about immigration.

In the statement, Donald compared the new policy to one of Barack Obama‘s and criticized the media for calling it a “Muslim ban.”

Read the statement below.

America is a proud nation of immigrants and we will continue to show compassion to those fleeing oppression, but we will do so while protecting our own citizens and border. America has always been the land of the free and home of the brave. We will keep it free and keep it safe, as the media knows, but refuses to say. My policy is similar to what President Obama did in 2011 when he banned visas for refugees from Iraq for six months. The seven countries named in the Executive Order are the same countries previously identified by the Obama administration as sources of terror. To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting. This is not about religion – this is about terror and keeping our country safe. There are over 40 different countries worldwide that are majority Muslim that are not affected by this order. We will again be issuing visas to all countries once we are sure we have reviewed and implemented the most secure policies over the next 90 days. I have tremendous feeling for the people involved in this horrific humanitarian crisis in Syria. My first priority will always be to protect and serve our country, but as President I will find ways to help all those who are suffering.”

I support Donald Trump. This is the man America needs and that is deep and difficult to understand. For some Nigerians who have left their own government to concentrate on Trump. Keep breathing.

The media is being terribly unfair to this man thou

Trump is being unfair to himself. One of his major rhetoric was anti Muslim, not anti terrorism and called Mexicans drug dealers who send their worst to the U.S. These are his own words.
And people are so gullible they fall for his tactics. He only changes his tone when he sees major backlash, resistance from Americans. Perhaps, when other Republicans give him a political sit down that you can’t just do it this way, there’s a protocol and ethic to follow.

      He manipulates the media well.
If this is the case why are some of these travelers being detained back to their countries for no legit reason. Some of them are permanent residents. If anything just make the background check more strict. But green card holders who are not suspicious of any terrorist act can’t enter back into the U.S, that’s unfair.

Donald Trump is an angel to Nigerians, until Nigeria enters the list.

Then we will start understanding why Americans are protesting, not for the Present law but for the Future of what the law can evolve to be.

And the comparison to what Obama did in 2011, is laughable at best. Obama did not ban people with Green cards and Dual Citizenship. But hey, what do I know, I am still battling recession here.

For sure this man is very strong, bold and proactive against all odd. Even the Bible says that “my people perish because of lack of knowledge” which also means that God’s people will not perish if only they have knowledge, obviously God will not come down physically to fight for us, having given his children the power to apply some knowledge so that they will not perish. Even our so called government have never thought of banning or restraining some immigrants from neighbouring countries like Chad, Cameroon etc even when it is confirmed that some Boko haram people come from those places to attack Northern Nigeria even with the amount of damage that have been done to Northern Nigeria. it is often better to prevent than to cure /control and I believe that that’s what Trump is actually trying to do and I must commend his level of proactivenesss even at his age in less than 3 months. A typical Nigerian politician will be in honeymoon after swearing in till now.

Just wondering why the need to reference Obama in his statement. Eez like he has been infected by Baba Bubu, whose spokespersons always feel the need to reference GEJ and his administration…

Muslim countries are not really supporting the fight against terrorism hence the issue of blanket ban on some of them. Trump might make it more difficult for Nigerians to travel to US since BH bears allegiance to ISIS. The fight against Islamic terror group is not any easy one and I do not mind temporary travel ban or stricter visa requirements as a Christian to ensure success of global campaign against terrorism.
