Nollywood actor, producer and founder of Saving Life for Africa Diabetes FoundationObi Madubogwu, has been in bad shape for a while and is reviving from a near-fatal diabetic coma in December 2016. He issued out a statement from the Federal Medical Centre in Ebutte Metta, saying he is grateful for the kind of response Nigerians deployed towards his pleas for assistance during the dark moments.
The statement reads:

“I want to thank all those who supported me financially, through calls, personal visits, and prayers. Although the actor has recorded appreciable improvement in his health, additional funds are still needed for the final lap of the treatment which is scheduled to take place in a US hospital, which is why his fundraising team (comprising  Chinasa Onyechere, Chioma Okoye, Rita Edochie, Queen Nwokoye, Ngozi Ezeonu, Ifeanyi Azodo, Emma Ugodi, Chimdi Chiama, Oby Okafor,  Omalicha Nkwenu, Ifeanyi Ikpoenyi and Ejiro Okurame) , is still appealing to Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora to kindly donate through his personal GoFund account.

what does he need exactly? in addition to funds?

does he need surgery? medication? does he feed? sometimes some people need alternative remedies for food like healthy foods considered plant foods to aid in his healing

is his condition affecting his heart?

I am on the benefits if not I would have just paid for his treatments.

I believe somebody that has the full funds will make the payments for his treatments.

I am from Ogidi unfortunately I am the Ogidi that doesn’t have money.
