Introducing Mrs Danjuma…Agbani Darego is MARRIED! Scoop on her Beautiful & Intimate Wedding

Congratulations to Miss World 2001 and fashion entrepreneur Agbani Darego. The beauty queen married her longtime love Ishaya Danjuma in Marrakesh, Morocco yesterday.

Ishaya is the son of General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma and is actively involved in his family business while Agbani helms her eponymous ready-to-wear denim and leisurewear fashion company.

The couple’s wedding was intimate and beautiful…just how they wanted it. Agbani wore a classic sheath wedding dress with a stunning low back while Ishaya wore a classic grey suit.

Congrats to the lovely couple.

I hope this one will last (lol) but why should a christian marry a muslim? who does that? See how Janet JAckson’s own crashed after even converting to islam! Not that i dont wish them well oo (lol) Its just that …. Anyway let me come and be going. Only those in the spirit will understand things of the spirit

THEOPHILUS Danjuma is a Christian. An Anglican

    • Mama

      April 10, 2017 at 8:41 am

It’s very obvious you don’t understand your geography or the ethnicities in Nigeria. So after seeing his name you concluded he is muslim? Please, travel out of your comfort zone a little.

    • Nuna

      April 10, 2017 at 8:47 am

So because you saw Danjuma, you automatically assumed he’s a muslim. Dis you even look at his first name?

    • Mawi

      April 10, 2017 at 10:12 am

Your spirit didn’t tell you that Theophilus is a Christian name Abi? It’s so shameful that so many educated adults in this country remain so ignorant. Spiricoco, weldone o

    • maren

      April 11, 2017 at 9:09 am

why is your ignorance oozing out like this? how do u know he’s a muslim? him wen him papa name na theophilus?? u obviously dont know anything about the north and northern names. next time ask u hear? p.s enough with all this religious/tribal discrimination. face your work. tenkyu!

Go and vote for a Kalabari Governor………Power isn’t given on a platter of gold, power is forcefully taken. Gubernatorial position is not a family biscuit they share, it’s a contest of the fittest, wittiest.

      April 14, 2017 at 9:36 pm

thank you. Kalabaris are used to things on a platter, No more, now that there’s bayelsa and the ijoids are a minority that wants to act like a majority.

  26. The truth

    April 9, 2017 at 11:37 pm

Argh! This is lovely. But pls, we don’t have to bash others for not having a secret wedding. If they all did, their would be no Bella Naija Weddings. We need to stop comparing. Some people like it low key and others like to express their joy. Nigerians, always condemning one to uplift the other. It’s not nice. Just be happy and move on from the topic. Judgemental society.

@The truth, so no – one was expecting Agbani Darego to get married?

    Minus Ifeyinwa Atuanya

There are over 196 Million people living in Nigeria, people will be getting married oooo, whether they like it or not

Me; I am still looking for money to buy a husband, and I must succeed

Not saying, that I am better than Agbani Darego Danjuma because she married for love, her own case is different from mine

Congratulations to Agbani and her new husband

Lmao please where is my comment congratulating my queen Agbani? Seriously BN maybe it’s time to hire more staff. Somebody will waste Precious time to post comment and then add extra time begging for the comment to be posted. This is not a govt parastatal please. Ejoooo

    April 10, 2017 at 11:59 am

Hahaha! Not one comment about my darling Agbani “stealing” someone’s husband even when we clearly know the 1st did not work and had been over and done with for a long time. Agbani, you are blessed. Everyone else who married a clearly, divorced person “stole” the husband. My sister, God bless you jare and bless your marriage and home. Your husband shall adore and cherish you.

Daft comment if he’s pervious wife was Nigerian chances are that someone would have said that she stole him.

      April 10, 2017 at 7:57 pm

Daft comment? I am trying to understand your comment. So the “stealing” of husband is reserved for when ex wife is Nigerian?

    • Diamond

      April 11, 2017 at 10:47 am

Don’t mind BN commenters with their hypocrisy, if it’s Nkechi Ngonadi and others they like to troll, they will brand them “husband snatcher”. But congratulate Agbani and other darlings. We should be minding our business abeg, especially in a narrative we know scarcely or nothing about.

Congratulations to the newlyweds. Best wishes!

Agbani the queen that keeps forgetting to let the world know about her background to inspire others. I remember her fighting Dele Momodu for writing about where and how she grew up. What a serious complex she had and still has . Wish her HML …

  44. Diamond

    April 11, 2017 at 10:32 am

For those comments that she hit jack pot. Please, remind me again how the groom’s father made the money.

We, Nigerians are hypocrites! If it’s Abacha family now, the hateful comments will roll in. I dare say if Abacha was still alive, people won’t be hating and dragging his family as they do now. Infact we will awe at their ill-gotten wealth, and rejoice at people who ‘hit jackpot’ marrying into the family. And there will be absolutely nothing like Abacha loot. The family will just be chopping the money like the rest of them Nigerian leaders we know.

    • molarah

      April 11, 2017 at 3:08 pm

I’ll give you one reason why you are wrong to label Nigerians hypocrites on this one.

Ever heard of an Abacha Foundation (or anything that sounds like that)?

TY Danjuma was open about the access he got to oil money during the military rule, and has tried to right his wrongs through philanthropy. That is much considering the crop of fellows that made billions during that era.

    • Diamond

      April 11, 2017 at 3:51 pm

So stealing massively from our collective resources, and giving tiny back in the name of philanthropy and foundation amounts to righting one’s wrong. Dear, it is not! It’s like asking for forgiveness, while confessing half or untruths. If you truly want to right your wrong, it must be total.

Some of these so-called philanthropist use their fake foundations for their selfish gains, to make more money for themselves.

    • Diamond

      April 11, 2017 at 4:13 pm

Let me add, if TY Danjuma wants to right his wrong as you said, he will do it like Murtala Mohammed. Who led by example, purged himself of all ill-gotten wealth, and asked his subordinates and cronies to do the same.

    • ND babe

      April 12, 2017 at 4:24 am

well, help us then because we thirst for an opportunity to give thanks and recognition to whom it is due. Name beneficiaries of his philanthropic acts. Be specific. Who and/or where, and what specifically has changed in measurable terms? Please do not list giving milk to orphanages. That is irresponsible patronage.
