Ibikunle_Amosun_Idiat Babalola_BellaNaija_Idiat Babalola, an aide of Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, would have been lynched by a mob of youths at the burial of late Senator Adeleke in Ede, Osun State on Monday if not for the intervention of Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun.

The riotous youths who had been creating trouble since Sunday, when the Senator died suddenly, were at their game but Amosun was on hand to save a life.

According to the Senior Special Assistant (Media) to the Ogun State Governor, Adejuwon Soyinka, the crowd of sympathisers demanded that Babalola be made to leave the premises of the Ede home of the Adelekes as she was being touted to become the running mate of the anointed candidate of the APC.

Despite pleas from family members of the deceased, the youths insisted and started shouting and raining curses on her.

Osun politics is one of the deadliest in the nation, even Aregbesola said it while he was campaigning for his first term that “we will step on blood to enter into Abere (the government house) “. Unfortunately for Serubawon, baby boy tactics full of braggadocio holds no water when air force is in action…. won get baba menh…. he dey pain me.

Yeah I saw this on the news last night…what the hell did she do? The only info I gathered is, she is governor aregesola’s aide… guessing the people think governor aregbesola is responsible for senator adeleke’s death so they didn’t want him or his cronies shedding crocodile tears there

Nigeria youths are too violent and stupid, tell them to fight and get mad for a good course, they won’t! but to tear pants and underwear for an unworthy course, na dem they carry first, this act of insanity is mostly common in yoruba youths, seriously we need to stop this madness, and by the way, I am yoruba.

Kudos to Amosun, I’m impressed that he jumped into the fray to personally protect the lady.

We Yorubas are just so weak and pathetic. Anytime, someone that seems very powerful, loved and influential rises up against a certain politician, that person dies. From Funsho Williams to the ex-World Bank Nutritionist from Ekiti State, Abubakar Audu in Kogi State and now Serubawon himself. The only person who survived rivalry against the man is another politician whose late Father also had such ‘grace’ (of people rising against him dying-Lawal and Gen Adisa). Whether they are all mere coincidences or…….let the man not die again like his great-grandfather who is still living..God sees what man does not see.

The first paragraph, “if not for” should have been ‘but for’.

    Wicked country and wicked citizens.
I watched the video on Channels TV. It was such a scary and disturbing scene.
