Last week, I wrote about resistance and why we must understand that it is an important force in Physics, as well as life in general.
There can be no motion without resistance. As a matter of fact, resistance aids motion. You can’t walk without the resistance force from the ground which prevents the earth’s gravitational pull.
Whenever you set out to achieve anything, you must understand and expect to meet resistance on the way; this is why preparation and thorough planning matters. It is also the reason why flexibility is being preached as regards to achieving one’s goals.
That being said, we must understand the difference between when we are waiting for the right time to get a job done, and when we are waiting for the perfect moment.
While it should be understood that starting a project prematurely is as bad as starting late, we must also be careful not to mistake waiting for the moment with no resistance for waiting or planning towards the right time.
Waiting for the perfect moment is like waiting for the battle to be over before lifting your weapon. You must always be faced with resistance in this space-time plane; you can’t even walk without it! You can do nothing without resistance. You must therefore exude a force that makes it possible to set anything in motion – to start anything or do anything. In Physics, this force is called the unbalanced force.
Laws are proven and “re-proven” hypotheses and theories, and Isaac Newton’s laws of motion dictate that a static object will move, if there is an increase in one of the forces acting on it. This is also true for a moving object – its acceleration will increase once a greater force acts on it. Let it be known that the object will move in the direction of the force acting on it.
Your determination and will power should be that force that causes an increase so that you move from where you are to the achievement of your goals. You must develop the capacity and the system that is able to generate this greater force. My dear, it is a waste of time to wait for the perfect moment to do anything – there is none!
This is not an attempt to push you into premature action or stop you from taking an action. It is me saying, you should be strategic and thorough in whatever you do.
In the end, the only person you cannot lie to is yourself. You’ll know when you are wasting your time waiting for the perfect time.
