Man Mistaken to be Former Côte d’Ivoire President Beaten by Angry Men in Paris I Watch

A man, mistaken to be Côte d’Ivoire’s former president Laurent Gbagbo, was attacked and beaten by some angry men while walking on the streets of Paris.

He was chased across the street before they realised he was innocent and his only crime was looking like the former president.

The former president is facing charges of fraud, murder and persecution at the International Criminal Court in Hague following the end of his administration in 2011.

you can take a black man out of africa but you cant take africa out of a black man. just 3 weeks ago a military man was lynched in ghana becoz ‘they thought he was a robber’. Now if he was seen in his home country they would have killed him. i just dont understand why we choose to act like animals, no wonder the WHITE policemen perceive us as violent and kill us like fowls…. these idiots must be arrested.

It’s not true. I’am ivorian and this footage was due in 2010 during the ivorian présidential élection and the supporters of the actual président were beating a supporter of the former président and all this happened at Ivorian embassy in Paris.

This video is 7 years old. The guy was assaulted by people from rdr( ouattara political party) just because he wanted to renew his passport at Côte d’ ivoire embassy in France.. they knew his was not gbagbo. Stop misinformation and manipulation. Gbagbo is well like by people of ivory coast

    Dear Mr Bella

You have nothing worth to tell your reader. Do you really know what is happening in cote d’ivoire right now. with all the information related to the conditiIon Ouatara with rebels got to the power available every where (jeune afrique magazine etc..) you shoul be able to deserve a great respect for Laurent Gbagbo. For your information the video has nothing related to the victim resembles the format president. According to what the victim said poeple who attacked him one of them shared same political parti PDCI before and this is not the Formal president political parti (FPI). Is this to help Ivoiriens poeple to solve their political issue or to encourage other africans to precede like Ouatara with his rebels to get to yhe power.
Carry on with the great job africa goes down.

    Please respect your readers.
