‘December to Remember’ will be Africa’s Biggest Party for orphans as we donate a month’s worth of food supplies, clothes, toiletries & stationeries in addition to free medical outreach, inspirational talk & music on Saturday, December 30th, 2017.

We are a coalition of volunteers passionate about making the yuletide season a memorable experience for orphans in our community. We mobilize resources from kind-hearted donors and donate gift items such as food, provision, clothes and more (as requested by the orphanages).

Our motto: Give a gift. Touch a life. Make a difference.

In December 2016, 300 orphans were reached across 6 States (Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Lagos, Osun, and Calabar) in Nigeria.

Why December to Remember?
Ruth is a 10-year-old with battered shoes, a hunger-stricken frame, and hair covered with ringworm. Ruth shares toothbrush and barely takes her bath with soap and hopes from day to day to not go hungry, alongside 50 orphans at a tiny orphanage.

There are several Ruth’s in orphanages spread across the nation. By donating clothes, money, food items, livestock, provision and more, you can help orphans like Ruth experience the joy of December and enjoy a hunger-free January.

Testimonial from a Lagos volunteer:
Onyinye Daniel: “December to Remember was a memorable day for me, being my birth month. I had the privilege to team up with an amazing lady Ola. We were unable to meet our financial target and liaison with other volunteers but I had a donation of ₦1, 000 from a respectable man. We had to donate from our purse to be able to get tangible things for our host. We visited Precious Pearls Orphanage Home in Orelope Egbeda, Lagos. They had 35 kids in their care with one caregiver. The kids had only one play toy and some teddy bears. 1 carton of noodles, 1 carton of biscuit, 2 packs of toilet roll, and 1 bag of detergent were donated. We prayed, sang and played with the kids. The caregiver testified of her joy in seeing us and discussed their challenges especially as regards their tuition fees. I realized that while money and gifts cannot replace family, our visit and gifts meant the world to them. The kids long to have a permanent home someday. I pledge to volunteer in an orphanage home in any community I find myself.”

Our Target: This December (2017), we have an ambitious target to reach 10,000 orphans across 60 states in at least 10 countries. We currently have over 500 volunteers across Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Cameroon, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Kenya, Namibia, Uganda, United Kingdom –London and Senegal.
