President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he had no idea the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, flouted his orders and did not stay in Benue State, Punch reports.

Buhari said this on his visit to Benue State to sympathise with the people for all of the lives lost in the farmers/herders clashes.

Buhari met with the herdsmen association Miyetti Allah, and appealed with the people in the state to apply restraint. He said:

I did not know that IG did not stay in the state.

I have friends here in the state, there is no way I can deliberately overlook what is happening here and other parts of the country.

Let me appeal to our people in the state to apply more restraint, the relationship between farmers and herders will continue, it behoves on us to keep encouraging ourselves to continue to live together peacefully.

Can someone tell me if the ceremony is to celebrate or sympathise. What’s with flowers being handed over and the wide smile. Is there compensation for families that lost love ones. So if he did not have so called friends he will let anything happen. I did not know isn’t a leaders excuse. Nigerians need to kick this man out. He has insulted the nation beyond.

This is a state of the nation issue…why is he smiling, cracking jokes sheepishly…can Buhari just own up to anything in this administration, he constantly shifts blame and acts so lost…
See the Governor n his aids, smiling like he’s on tour. This is serious, you’re not here to use taxpayers money to host an address for a limp of a president, did he inspect any areas, did he see the bereaved n displaced families, were there compensations, what are the preventive checks in place…
Hold this Man accountable, tomorrow you ‘ll be crying wolf
    Gosh!
