Ryan Gosling will star as astronaut Neil Armstrong in the upcoming movie First Man.

The film which was directed by Damien Chazelle and stars Claire Foy will chronicle the astronaut’s journey to become the first man on the moon.

The movie is based on the book by James R. Hansen and focuses on the the years 1961 to 1969.
