Singer John Legend has become the first black man to win the EGOTs – an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award.
Legend took home an Emmy at Sunday’s Creative Arts Emmys for his role in NBC’s variety special “Jesus Christ Superstar.”
At 39, he also tied with Robert Lopez to become the youngest man to win all four major entertainment industry awards.
John Legend has 10 Grammys to his belt, one Oscar for his original song for the Martin Luther King biopic “Selma,” and one Tony which he won just last year.
He’s also in the running for the lead actor category at the Primetime Emmys for his role as Jesus in the variety special.
