Registration is open for the 2018 edition of Annual Education Conference; the Nigerian Education Innovation Summit (NEDIS).


NEDIS serves as a platform to strengthen the design, implementation and scaling up of educational innovations in Nigeria. The summit, now in its 4th year, has become a key event in the nation’s education event calendar, convening stakeholders from government, research and academia, the development and other funding organisations, corporations, civil society organisations and a broad range of education innovators for two days of rich discourse, knowledge sharing, learning, capacity development and networking.

What to Expect at NEDIS IV

This year’s summit which is focused on Accountability and Transparency in the Education Sector will convene over 250 stakeholders to discuss issues, challenges and innovative practices pertaining to accountability and transparency in Nigeria’s education sector.

This year’s discussions will be opened by the office of the UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report with several leading voices in the education innovation ecosystem speaking at the sessions. NEDIS IV will feature:

  • Engaging plenary and breakout discussion sessions
  • Workshops including Masterclasses on Data Visualisation (led by BudgIT), and Advocacy and Strategic Communications (led by Connected Development)
  • An exhibition of innovative education products and services
  • A consultation session for the 2020 Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report
  • An Innovation Showcase Cocktail Reception

    The education sector is suffering. Seeing the line-up of speakers, it is obvious that education is not just the responsible of government or the development sector, but everyone. I’m definitely going to be at NEDIS 2018.

    Good initiative. Sometimes i wonder if we are innovating at all in the education sector. It’ll be good to see what is happening in that space.

    the education sector is really suffering and every stakeholders both in public and private sectors needs to be involved for us to bring up more ideas,reforms that will bring education for all both in rural and urban areas. i need to look for means/mechanisms that will every parents can afford to send his/her wards to school no matter what it takes.
