Gateman rejects House Offer, chooses Borehole for his Community as Parting Gift from Boss

A gateman who’s parting ways with his boss of 25 years is making headlines for rejecting a house as a parting gift and requesting for a borehole to be constructed for his community.

Daily Trust reports that Musa Usman, from Giljimmi in Birniwa Local Government Area of Jigawa State told his boss, an Indian, V. Verghese, the MD of a pharmaceutical company in Lagos that his community is suffering for acute water shortage and residents had to trek long distance to get water.

Verghese had offered to build Usman a house in appreciation for his diligence while working for him. He instead built the borehole on Usman’s request.

According to Daily Trust, Usman thanked Verghese for the gift, adding that he had no regrets rejecting the house offer.

This is a clear example of putting the others before one. This gateman is a true leader, I believe he would still get that house regardless

Talking about one whose little finger has got more integrity than the whole of Nigerian’s political class.
Mr Usman is just gold himself and have put down a worthy legacy
