This year’s Wearable Art Gala 2019 was the place to be over the weekend!
The event which held on Saturday night (June 1) at The Barker Hangar in Sana Monica, California was a celebration of arts and culture.
Themed “A Journey to the Pride Lands,” in honor of Disney’s upcoming CGI remake of The Lion King, where Beyoncé stars as Nala, it was naturally a parade of boldly painted faces, colourful braids, glitter eye shadows, cosplay wigs and much more that we have all come to expect from this event hosted by Tina Knowles-Lawson and her husband Richard Lawson.
Every year the red carpet style is vibrant and electrifying with rich cultural references and this year wasn’t an exception. The outfits were incredible no doubt but the beauty trends; hairstyles and makeup routines were out of this world.
