The stories of being single and the institution of marriage never gets old, that’s why S & S Creative Media Co. in conjunction with the British Council for the Lagos Theatre Festival address these issues in the stage production, ‘Still Single in Gidi’ based on the blog www.singleingidi.com

Written and Produced by Sheila Ojei and Shirley Urhobo-Enebong, Still Single in Gidi was staged on March 3rd and 4th, 2017 at the Agip Hall, Muson Centre and addressed themes that are relevant to us today such as single parenthood, colourism, Yoruba demons, asoebi, engagement rings and many more.

The play was directed by Belinda Yanga-Agedah and featured Timi Charles-Fadipe, Toni Tones, Omoye Uzamere, Charles Etubiebi, Oludara Egerton-Shyngle, Goodness Emmanuel, Omobola Akinde, Patrick Oke Jnr and Rita Edward.

After 3 successful shows, Single in Gidi returns on stage, in Abuja and Lagos in September and December respectively.
