For all Asa fans, here is a chance to see her LIVE in NYC

Born in Paris and raised in Lagos, Asa’s eponymous album was released in the US in February 2009 on Downtown/Mercer Street Records after becoming a multi-platinum selling artist in Europe with the hit single “Fire on the Mountain”. You do not want to miss this sensational rising African star and surprise special guests! Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are $20. Advance tickets available at www.lprnyc.com are highly recommended. (Le) Poisson Rouge is located at 158 Bleecker Street in New York City.

New Africa Live produces multidisciplinary events that celebrate contemporary African artists who push the boundaries of African expression. New Africa Live is sponsored by New York Foundation of the Arts, a 501(C)3 tax-exempt organization.

Hopefully she actually performs. She was scheduled to perform in Atlanta last weekend and the show ended up being canceled…. pretty disappointing

ASA( in capital letters),ty bello(in small letters) and Ayo(with one capital letter) are the only female stars nigeria has ever produced…the rest are too poor to be even considered for listing. The others always have terrible vocals…Justina,Fragrance etc.

Re phrasing my statement ..ASA( in capital letters),ty bello(in small letters) and Ayo(with one capital letter) are the only female stars Africa has ever produced…the rest are too blown with the wind to be considered, trademark is the key to a competitive world we are in,you have to stand out which the other African female singers not stars have not done.
