New Music: Terry Da Rapman – Roger That Freestyle

The next time you use the phrase “Boyz are not smiling” or it’s latest variation, “Girls are not smiling“, bear in mind that the term was coined by Terry Da Rapman. Terry, who is a Hip-Hop World Award winner for Best Rap Single for Sample, has consistently made valid blips on the radar for his singles and features like Ojoro [feat. Terry G], Sample[feat. Original Stereoman], Owo ati Swagger [Remix].
His newest body of work has an interesting story attached with it. He was purportedly in the studio listening to a track he recorded with gospel singer, Kefee, when Young Money‘ s Roger That began playing from someone’s cell phone. He immediately ordered that the phone be silenced, in his words: “Men, put that phone on vibrate. In fact, gimme that beat, let me kill it once and for all.”
He went ahead to scribble his lines on tissue paper, stepped in the booth and delivered a couple of well connected bars. On listening, it is obvious that he’s battling a cold, but he seems to have pulled it off quite well by many standards.
Also available from him is a wallpaper available for free download. This is as a prelude of sorts to the release of his album, The Boyz Are Not Smiling which is due to drop soon.
