The WOW! Valentine Fair was a huge success thanks to all our partners, exhibitionists, celebrities and guests!
The event took place on 12th & 13th February 2011 at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja and Oriental Hotel in Lekki respectively.
There were great displays with a variety of beautiful and not-so-damaging-to-the-pocket items including lingerie, cakes, couture clothing, cards, flowers, jewellery, gift hampers, shoes, designer sunglasses, artwork, bags, perfume and menswear- all as promised!
Exhibitors included Bims Intimates, Cake Flair, Signature Scents, Eyelanders, Wears Plus, Tendai Accessories, Shakara, C2 Clothiers, Zehava, Trish O Couture, D’fenomenom, Bruno Foregrove, Farafina and Maple.
WOW! Fair partners Dealfish were on hand to show everyone how to sell goods and services online! Queen of Africa Dolls were given free to all the little ones that came in (and some adults too!). Lucky guests at the Sheraton edition were treated to a delicious free lunch.
Guest celebrities Rooftop MCs, KB, Onos, Mo’Cheddah and Ibiyemi did a great job by serenading delighted fans with great music, signing autographs and mingling with the fans. It was a very relaxed and fun-filled atmosphere with everyone, guests and celebrities alike, getting on like a house on fire! Ibiyemi’s performance on both days with soulful love songs stirred some emotions better left alone if single, definitely the love rocker of our time. Onos was captivating with her powerful voice and inspirational lyrics! Wale Rubber (the acclaimed dance star) thrilled the crowd with an impromptu dance session that definitely halted every other activity!
There were lots of freebies to be won – Two lucky couples won free lunches at Browns Café GRA Ikeja. Many beautiful ladies won beautiful couture dresses; Other great prizes included free computerized eye tests and designer sunglasses from Vision Warehouse and free Onos T-shirts. According to the organizers, several guests actually refused to leave until they won something or all the prizes were eventually exhausted! It was a fabulously fun day and the WOW! Team will like to thank everyone who made the event a success.
See you in May for the Wow! Family Funfair.

first to leave a comment….yayyyyy
i love wow!!!!
Let me help THE AMAKA “not quite…………..lol”
lol,someone get her for me…
AFRICANS LACK IN PRESENTATION OF PRODUCTS THEY SELL BIG TIME – though african – i am not nigerian and i have noticed this all over africa where i go/visit. Maybe i need to start a workshop for people to learn HOW TO PRESENT PRODUCTS to make it look like a million. SOme presentation of things people sell is very disgusting – the product may be nice but they way the present it is very market mentality type. C’mon people this is 2011. I like detail neatness and esquisiteness. if is done right and you spend $5 to make it – I will pay $100 to buy it just cos of the presentation. Wrong presentation is my biggest pet peeve and i see it all over these photos on this thread.
yeah u r right *shrug*
abeg dress go one side jare… i too know dey worry u…lol.
‘eSquisiteness’ huh? lol
yep, you’re totally right. i was noticing the same thing as i was going thought the pictures. lol
love dose dolls all-way!
MoChedda looks fresh in the pic where shes wearing shades..i like
kool “connect”
the event sure looks nice…will attend the one in may…..
Dolapo. It would help if you stop wearing that forced stiff smile. Smile naaa. Why so serious?
( :
aside from the stiff smile looks to me like she z shrinking…dayum! she z defines the word petite and would help if she z always on heels or wedges…love her personality tho
Luv Dolapo’s straight hair………………. suits her
Hello fashion Nigeria!I love it all but I agree with presentation also my main concern is selling our own products.Nigeria is very rich in fashion but i didn’t see enough clothings made from the mother land, even shoes , i know you people produce your own sandles or kanga shoes why aren’t they all marketed there, common people!!!All those youg talents from home or abroad who produce something ethnic should be in such event as proudly African and Nigerian!!!!!
Rolling my eyes at “THE AMAKA” helpers…..!
abeg….no vex! haha
I see my cuz up there…*Olamide Okuwa* #big grin#
nice!!
when i talk now they would say i don come ok u want to sell something to me and u are not presenting it well in terms of packaging i go just fling dat stuff on ur face secondly i thought we are suppose to be promoting NIGERIAN fashion stuffs and not western kind of influence ok guys go back to your drawing tables and make sure Nigerians begin to see their culture being represented in this events but sorry i dont see this as a Nigerian fashion fair but a group of fashion fair dudes and ladies coming together to have fun change o
Ibiyemi, why???!!! I love you so much but that costume! Again, why???!!! (wiping tears)
i dont believe a non-african wrote “purple hibiscus” or “half of a yellow sun” or made the ankara top being tried on in the second to last picture. the dolls are nigerian made, the tee tops are african made as well and mo-cheddah’s CD which is nigerian. The event looks pretty much 60% african to me. Bearing in mind that we still have to appreciate the western world
mocheddah really luks kul
@mawuto- finally a sensible comment. thumbs up for saving us from Amaka and co… lol
mo’cheddah lookn bored to death. lol
wow! That Dolapo girl is so cute with her flawless skin.. U go girl!
