We just caught of sneak peek of photos from the set of “Weekend Getaway“, a movie by Emem Isong, Ini Edo and Desmond Elliot.
So many A-List Nigerian stars are featured in this movie, it’s almost difficult to keep tabs!
Genevieve Nnaji, Ramsey Nouah, Ini Edo and Monalisa Chinda, comedic actor Bishop Ime Umoh alongside “eye candy” Bryan Okwara, Uti Nwachukwu, Alexx Ekubo and upcoming stars Bobby Obodo, Beverly Naya and Uru Eke.
The movie was filmed in Uyo and will be released in 2012.

Cmon Nollywood. This is ridiculous. My foreign friends in the diaspora when we watch movies together they ask me “So are these the ONLY actors and actresses yall have” – and i am so ashamed cos i dont know how to respond.
I think NOllywood should take 6 months out and truly star search for REALLLLLLLL TALENT and not have to recylce this much.

i also think shes one of the very good producers and the scripts she produces are good,so these guys easily go with the scripts.
…and on the other hand,i feel the reason why ‘we’ feel we’ve seen enough of these guys is because apart from Jenifa, the REALLY GOOD nollywood movies that people look out for always have one or more of these guys..

A film where ‘the whole cast is new?’ My dear you must be on something that starts with w! How is that possible? Which producer will take that risk? Even in Hollywood? You shd have asked your foriegn friends why you only see Angelina Jolie, Brad pit, Tom Cruise etc in Hollywood movies also! You guys dont understand the film busines so I wont even bother explaining anythg to you. The truth is if all the cast were new they would only get limited viewership… by putting the A Listers, it guarantees even the new stars getting a shot at the limelight on a worldwide scale. its a business decision or have you watched the film called ‘Unwanted Guest’? Do you actually have a problem with how producers decide to spend their money and how directors decide to cast their movies??? Its their money, their business and you are not forced to watch their movies. Onething that is really certain is you are envious of their successes and you wish it were you.
Why don’t you take your request to God and beg him to give you the fame you are actually so thirsty for. But I doubt if heaven will even open a window to such prayer requests because it is coming from a jealous heart like yours.
Whether you like it or not, this is the cast of the movie and yes the movie will be a blockbuster. All of these stars are successful and they are moving upwards without your negative comment or your support.

I only see Ramsey, Ini, Gene, and Monalisa as the New faces here. Let’s face it, these people are great actors, and when you’re good, you’re good. Monalisa has had some bad movies, but I think the lady has turned a new leaf. Look at her dressing, hair, and body. I sense some change will have taken place in her acting too.
Gene is not playing at all oo.. Those shoes, Gahh lee… Lips, hair, everything! And Ini, I am liking!!
