    Am hapi 4 her!!!

  • Rabina May 6, 2012 at 12:19 am

She is 25??? Presumably the fact that she is 25 and the pageant is celebrating its 25 anniversary was not a coincidence???

  • Janded May 6, 2012 at 12:24 am

She is one of the prettiest

  • Laila Ikeji May 6, 2012 at 12:30 am

lol, Rabina. Miss Rivers is a Charles and shes sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pretty. was really eyeing her for that crown.

  • Daydn May 6, 2012 at 12:41 am

So how old was she when she competed for Miss Nigeria in 2004? 17 abi? Lies, lies, lies. Silverbird should be carrying out more stringent checks on the background of the girls they allow to compete.

    • Ritty May 10, 2012 at 1:48 pm

My thoughts exactly, they say you have to be 18 before you can participate and yet going by how old she says she is, she would have been 17 when she contested in 2004. As u say Daydn ‘Lies. lies, lies’

  • Pa solo May 6, 2012 at 12:48 am

It’s quit interesting wen i watch it, as all d girls tried dea best. The head dat fit d crown has won it. Tanks silverbird tv & all d organizers.

  • Kingsley C. May 6, 2012 at 1:03 am

Girl makes sense but really, is she the best. Not actually talking about being pretty. I mean upstairs…

  • jacob May 6, 2012 at 1:12 am

na miss lagos wowo pass….she resemble obasanjo

  • babajide May 6, 2012 at 1:56 am

i think she won by other stature of beauty, because physically out of all of them she wasnt the best. Also this would be the last time she could have participated since 25 is the cut of age for people to participate in the pagaent. well congrats to her

  • Gimmer May 6, 2012 at 4:49 am

    It is well…

  • Sarah May 6, 2012 at 5:46 am

    She deserves the crown

  • christy May 6, 2012 at 6:57 am

  • tigerlilly May 6, 2012 at 7:18 am

Abeg she no fine joor, she’s jst der.her winning d most beautiful gurl pageant is an insult to real fine gurls in Nigeria

  • tigerlilly May 6, 2012 at 7:21 am

Just curious, why do all d pageants in Nigeria always favour south south gurls, especially calabar gurls.mstchhhhw miss edo ,abia and abuja where by far finer than this imposter.

  • Ayo May 6, 2012 at 7:37 am

Wow! How can one forget a face like that? Isabella was definitely not the most beautiful of them all but a face like that can’t be forgotten too easily especially when you see it over and over again. I remember vividly that she contested at the 2009 MBGN pageant were she also won best traditional outfit and the 2010 MBGN. Well, I’m happy for her except that I don’t quite understand why she was 24 when she contested in 2010 and 25 two years later! Am I the only one who thinks the math doesn’t add up? Fresh faces should be given the opportunity to win and not people who have contested all their lives! No be beef o! I’m just saying.

    • HonestThoughts May 6, 2012 at 7:10 pm

She’s probably 25 going on 26 i.e. her 26th birthday will be sometime later this year.

      • Bliss! May 10, 2012 at 6:13 pm

going with ur argument then she would be 26 going on 27 later this year…….. u see if her bday is as u guessed she would have been 24 going on 25 in 2010. lmao

  • Couture By Makioba May 6, 2012 at 8:24 am

yeeaaaaa up miss rivers…….1st runner up
    congrates to the winners

  • Mahogany May 6, 2012 at 8:27 am

She is a beauty. Congrats, girl.

  • babe May 6, 2012 at 8:43 am

Her accent is rily rily bad tho

  • hmmm May 6, 2012 at 8:52 am

lol this babe cannot be 25….Nigeria needs to find a data plan for its people, to know peoples age……

  • Tiki May 6, 2012 at 9:51 am

awwwww, my namesake! i was rooting for someone else but she’s pretty too. congrats darling!

  • Gidi May 6, 2012 at 10:31 am

I gave up on this pageant a long time ago. Besides not being a fan of pageants as i find it an objectification of females, i think Silverbird have lost its way with this particular show. It is fraught with loads of controversy and the quality is continually being degraded.

  • priscillia May 6, 2012 at 10:42 am

Congrats to all the beauty queens especially my miss abuja even though she didint come out d winner, she’s really a beauty queen

  • BeautyFULL May 6, 2012 at 11:11 am

Is it a wonder Nigeria doesn’t win any prizes in international competitions? That girl in no way deserves to win.Is her stature better than Miss Enugu’s own? With her terrible accent, this competition used to be so classy but its now so local and not worth watching.tufiakwa.Even the dry comperes that can’t construct simple English.

  • Candice May 6, 2012 at 11:18 am

25 indeed. If she is 25 thn I am yet to be born.

  • Ng May 6, 2012 at 11:30 am

The show was a real horrible one. I expected that an anniversary show like would been a breath taking one! And when it has to deal with silver bird. The stage was too small, contestants, presenters and performacers had to struggle for space on the stage! Allowing the bumping of the contestants on to each other. The stage was not well lighted and there was no innovative stage design!!! Aggghh…the sound department did not help matters! There was no no suspense and subsequently climax to the show. Winning contestants were just announced anyhow. The envelopes which beard the names of winners were horrible and so was the papers. For 25 years you guys have been running this show and there’d absolutely no innovative improvements, infect it looked like things were getting worse! Damn. You fall my hand silver bird. It was not a standard event at all. 25% ! And I expected that sound reasons or any reason at all for choosing Benin for it’s 25th anniversary. It didn’t come.

    • Straight4ward May 6, 2012 at 7:20 pm

I’m sorry but i didn’t understand half the things you were writing here….

    • bj May 7, 2012 at 7:43 am

my thought too…it was so irritating seeing scrap papers here and there with the presenters with pieces of paper falling off the presenters hand…how abt small place boards to hold on papers in place or even a small pad or sthg…it looked all tacky to me…and toke d hostess was jst overdoing every bit of the way…i think she forgot it was a beauty pagent she was hosting, with the uncouth way she was presenting and the jokes and mannerisms didnt tie at all. my sis said she was presnting like it was an AY show…and d judges??? i cant help smh…

    • Naveah May 15, 2012 at 2:09 pm

      *bore* not “beard”. Bear/Bore

  • christy May 6, 2012 at 11:32 am

See her lap sef, flopping like akamu

    • meena May 7, 2012 at 12:51 pm

@ Christy…ahahahahaha…ouch… I never thought laps could flop like akamu!!! LOL :p
The winner is alright, it is just crazy that she has been contesting since 2004…damn, talk about determination! I wish the person I was rooting for won though!!! Oh well.

  • WildChild May 6, 2012 at 12:07 pm

miss cross rivers is frigging 33yrs old!!!! ughhh Miss abuja should have won. why do they always cheat??? same way dey cheated last yr and gave the crown to miss taraba sylvia nduka.. anyways goodluck to the winner. she obvsly wanted it so bad.

  • marvel May 6, 2012 at 12:09 pm

Perhaps Silverbird should be a bit more new age? Why not allow members of the public to vote by email/text/phone. Selecting a handful of mostly compromised judges would make their brand laughed at.
I won’t have put my money on her to win. Since that is water under the bridge.. My dear, congrats o!

  • Queen May 6, 2012 at 12:23 pm

The trio of Ms Taraba,Ms Taraba and Ms Gombe look very pretty..but I think the MBG looks smashing in her traditional attire, big ups to her..

  • burnt May 6, 2012 at 1:48 pm

  • ogochukwu May 6, 2012 at 2:02 pm

this girl does not deserve to win. the should look for pple that their face are memorable like miss angola that won miss universe or even abgani derego. pple that, this girl i don’t see her winning miss world and that cross river should have won

  • jmk May 6, 2012 at 2:09 pm

Its a shame to silverbird,I’m so dissapointed d quality of the peagant is zero.at this time and age.it shld be far better than what I saw yesterday.

  • Bb May 6, 2012 at 3:00 pm

  • isee May 6, 2012 at 4:05 pm

  • I am Nneka May 6, 2012 at 6:03 pm

Oh boy#shakin ma head in shame#i wonder what the criteria for wining this year is.this is such a shame.we have no shot @ the world competition…miss Rivers would have been beta…and please, don’t play on our intelligence, dis grl aint 25…smh

  • pboy May 6, 2012 at 10:46 pm

support isabella ayuk if you need the miss world crown in nigeria…her time has come and no man can change it….my frank perception.

  • Joy May 7, 2012 at 2:47 am

i think Miss Rivers should have won the crown, or Miss Abuja or Miss Gombe. it’s really sad about the way the show is run this days. A similar thing happened last year, where the person that deserved to win was robbed, and the crown was given to someone else who didnt deserve it. it’s sad though.

  • GOB May 7, 2012 at 3:25 am

What a joke! These girls are not pageant material!!!

  • beb May 7, 2012 at 7:35 am

Wot eva u fel or say nw does nt mater she don win be she don win n her contestng 2 d 4th she shld knw her mistake n corect it pls belive me itis her turn 2 shine n no man nt evn u can stp it congrats my queen

  • kallystar May 7, 2012 at 9:57 am

Abeg murray bruce should save his expenses for miss world coz dat woman(coz she’s no longer a girl) isn’t coming back wid anything. Dis ȋs so shameful, did anyone see miss adamawa @ †ђξ pageant? She was simply outstanding. Its a pity.

  • Kem May 7, 2012 at 10:08 am

I still ask why Miss Enugu didnt make it to the top 5?

  • Kem May 7, 2012 at 10:10 am

@pboy, and what if the crown doesnt come to Nigeria???

  • deola May 7, 2012 at 10:26 am

Miss abuja is still d best..shame on silverbird

  • mary May 7, 2012 at 10:42 am

Everyone thinks Everyone is supposed to win. FACT IS, ONLY ONE CAN. Be happy that they are all beautiful representations of NIGERIA.

  • eniola May 7, 2012 at 5:02 pm

Please ladies can we try to be more natural? What’s with all the weaves? I would really love to see some true African beauty without the extras. Lets embrace our true beauty :)

  • Obilinwa May 7, 2012 at 6:15 pm

Well, i didn’t follow this year’s MBGN event but with the kind of comment I’m seeing here, i was forced to browse through their pictures. Frankly, this event is will lose its glory should it continue this way. Though is not all about physical appearance, Isabella-Ayuk don’t look like she has somthing upstairs. Secondly, it is amazing how someone who contested for Miss Nigeria in 04, truns up 8yrs later to constet for MBGN and claims she’s just 25, in otherwords, she was 17 in 04 impossible! All these factors matter and raise doubts in the international community about the transparency of Beauty pageant in Nigeria. Silverbird Group you better wake up your ideas

  • mac-kuro May 7, 2012 at 7:29 pm

MBGN 2012 was really really below expectation…… Silverbird learn 4rm ur mistakes and come up with a much more better one next year.

  • Apav Gideon May 8, 2012 at 6:34 am

She deserve it, she is even more dan BEAUTIFUL 100%! Hahahahahaha

  • QueenofEverything May 8, 2012 at 9:34 am

    still not impressed…

  • Adesuwa May 8, 2012 at 10:50 am

Congratulations to the winners. Bella please re-arrange your photos miss Universe holds second position so her photo should come before miss Tourisms’. Thanks.

  • Jite May 8, 2012 at 1:02 pm

this year’s show sucks cos most of the contestants were not just preety @ all, also the hosts were boring especially the female hostess, she was just faking it especially the azonto dance step she was trying to do, for crying out loud that was un-called for. it didn’t work forme @ all, mstchewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

  • mereal May 8, 2012 at 1:44 pm

AY, NG and BJ u all nailed it!
Really wat pains me is dat fact that this girl would av to represent naija at Miss world…is dis d best silverbird can get? For crying out loud there were several other pretty girls at the competition. Her accent is terrible and d show was so disorganized. I could remember when they were about to announce the ms lacasera and Toke couldnt find the envelops….i mean…. tank God i didnt waste my money to go watch such boring show. Ive said it b4 and im sayin it again….Silverbrd has lost it!

  • janny May 9, 2012 at 3:40 am

lets just support her sometimes d best doesnt get d cap…it her time..only God takes people higher. Congrat Isabella i share in your joy..

  • Ngozi May 9, 2012 at 1:59 pm

  • PersonWhoSabi May 11, 2012 at 4:21 pm

I wish the winner the best. But she is not 25 years old. She turned 29 three days ago – FACT. She is well connected to government so its either SB got an order from National Assemble to annouce her as winner or her God was really on her side. All the same we should support her to ensure she wins Ms World plus size award

  • PersonWhoSabi May 11, 2012 at 5:12 pm

    She turned 29 yesterday. Sorry!

  • Beebee May 11, 2012 at 7:09 pm

Lol ) Person who sabi oooo.. she looks 35 to me

  • Anonymous May 12, 2012 at 1:00 pm

dere is nuthn u guys can do abt it
no comment abt her age and am nt interested.

    • janny May 16, 2012 at 4:26 am

Thanks jare faith…it her time shes not d most beautiful but if u look at her profile she has a good heart…she has supported widows, sick people and others in the past, and thats part of what they look for at the miss world competition..they want someone with a good heart who can add to d society, not just beautiful and sexy body..people should learn to be happy when someone is been lifted up so that good will come back to them..i share in her joy jooooo cause it aint easy.

  • Soibi May 20, 2012 at 4:53 am
