Now this is one pro footballer with a heart of gold.
Last weekend - On Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th December 2012 – Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Yobo lit up the hearts of the less privileged at the Hearts of Gold Children’s Hospice, Surulere, Lagos by donating various items including food stuffs and a generating set as well as advising the young ones to stay away from drugs and focus on their education.
Speaking exclusively to BellaNaija on his charity visit and donations, the 32 year old Fenerbahçe defender and husband to former Miss MBGN Queen, Adaeze Igwe-Yobo said “I was touched with the condition of the kids”.
He further said “It is sad to know that some of them will still have to die. I am happy to have put a smile on their faces and give them hope to survive. I could have been like any of them but for God’s mercy”.
The pro-footballer also visited the House of Mercy, Ebute Metta, Yaba, Lagos – which houses Almajiris (Child Beggars) and Fair Life Africa Foundation, Lekki, Lagos – to make donations as well.
Check out the photos.

God bless you Joseph Yobo. “He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, And He will pay back what he has given.” Proverbs 19:17. God bless you.

If only a few with billions proping up european economies would do the same.
If only.
Sorry, excuse me,i was just dreaming aloud
Genuine or not, the children will have food on their table.
May God bless you abundantly Mr. Yobo.

It is more blessed to give than to recieve, those of you that r always ready to criticize, ask yourself one question, what have I done that gives me the right to criticize someone else. Yobo will remain blessed because of his heart so keep on criticizing u idiots

God bless d shareful giver like YOBO
And surely, a month and 19 days later, GOD Almighty rewarded Yobo in an unbelievably amazing way by leading him and Super Eagles to win the 2013 African Cup of Nations – with all the financial and humane rewards coming his way and that of his Super Eagles team-mates and coaching staff presently ..
See all that Yobo is getting back just for his selfless act of kind giving. And now GOD has annointed Yob0′s servant leadership head (as Super Eagles Captain) with oil and his cup is overflowing …
