Beautiful Beginnings: Faith Arigbe & Kenny Umenyi Wed

It started in 2007 when Faith Arigbe & Kenny Umenyi met at the Nigerian Law School in Bwari, Abuja. Years later, Kenny went on one knee and asked the golden question, Faith said “Yes“.
On the 22nd of November 2012, Faith and Kenny celebrated their traditional wedding at the Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos. In what can simply be described as an elegant celebration of love, tradition and culture. The couple’s family and friends feted Faith and Kenny’s union in style. Amid a sea of guests dressed in pink, black, fuchsia and blue, Kenny stood tall in his cream traditional attire paired with a chiefly red cap while Faith dazzled in her gold george and blouse accessorized with an ornate coral statement necklace. It was a wonderful day!
Faith and Kenny’s big day was grand! From the start of the day’s festivities during the church service at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Victoria Island, it was clear that it was going to be a blessed day. The bride Faith was stunning in her lace dress with a sheer venice lace sabrina neckline, pleated satin cummerbund and chapel length train. The bride completed her look with beautiful multi-pearl drop earrings, a cathedral length lace-edged veil and a bouquet of lush cream roses. Faith’s bridal look was captivating in its simplicity and royal flair. The groom Kenny made a style statement in his white tuxedo paired with a black bow-tie.
After they said “I Do“, the couple, their parents, family, bridal train in vibrant red and friends made the move to the reception venue which had been transformed into a serene space with golden hues, rich cream roses and lights which created a starry night effect. The couple along with their friends savoured all the moments including a performance by Nigerian music legend Onyeka Onwenu as she serenaded the newlyweds! Such a lovely day.

I’m not joking, OMG!!!!!!. I tried on that EXACT dress at a bridal store yesterday evening. Good to see it on a real life bride, and she looked lovely. I would have settled for this one, but I wanted more oooomph as my personality has a flair for the dramatic, and everyone will be expecting a wowzer. Thank you Lord, I found one that does. Lovely wedding, lovely colours. Loved the bride’s modest wedding gown. Fitted perfectly and I’m so glad it was not another boob-tube design. Just perfect. She didn’t need the bolero/jacket/shawl thingy which I find so tiresome. Also loved the bridal train’s black and red elegant gowns, the bride’s engagement colours were also fab. She’s got quite a lovely eye for colours. Congratulations to the couple. God bless their union.
BTW, I wonder where or how all these ladies learnt how to draw these perfectly defined lovely eyebrows. How do they do it, what do they use? I really would love to know. I think If I can have such perfectly defined brows, I would use only minimal make-up or not at all!

Always thought red, was too harsh as a color for bridal train, but I love it here, and the black as well. The bride and the groom look stunning together…. only thing is 28 bridesmaids though ? as in Im wondering if I can even put 10 together, looks like its just gonna be a maid of honour for me.
