From Music to Baking! Nigerian Music Star Dr Sid launches Cookie Line “Indulge” | Photos from the launch & Campaign AD Shots

He has conquered the world of music, now he is taking on the confectionery world!
Mavin Records artiste Dr Sid has diversified but not too worry, he isn’t quitting music anytime soon. He recently collaborated with Lagos gourmet cookie brand Cookie Jar to launch a line of luxury chocolate cookies, Indulge.
On Saturday 9th February 2013 the luxury chocolate cookie line made with the finest Kenyan Cocoa powder, chocolate dough and Belgian chocolate was launched at Don Jazzy’s POP club, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event was attended by a group of Dr Sid’s close friends, family and colleagues including Tosyn Bucknor and Noble Igwe.
According to Dr Sid, why send flowers this season (Valentine’s Day)? When you can send indulge and get the cookie.

nice concept, at least its a breath of fresh air. However i feel the ads are very silly, and inappropriate. I know ladies have fast become the target market for chocolate, but they should not ignore that kids are still very much in this market. Are kids now suppose to see this ad or is a parent suppose to see this ad and get turned-on to buy for their kids? Has anyone even realised that this is Nigeria and not some western country.

This is out of order-there is absolutely no need to advertise a cookie line (or any other item for that matter) with a physically over-exposed/half-naked lady.
I studied advertising and knowing so much about advert I see a lot of things wrong with this ad campaign. All I see is a sexy lady..too much sex appeal. I can hardly see enough of the cookies in the advert..nd re u advertising cookies or milk? Ladies buy cookies more than men I think but I tink this ad is targeting men….gud biz idea but go back to the drawing table and plan a better ad campaign….selling cookies is actually diff frm selling music

It is hi-freaking-larious to me! I can’t even take this seriously…I kinda expect voltrons in a few tho. But this to me goes to show what our generation is doing with their brains. I guess some ppl were on sleek phones talking about “let’s make it sexy…it’s launching around Valentine’s; let’s tailor it to young people with money to blow…” and feeling smart with themselves. Can you tell me a little bit about the ACTUAL cookies? e.g. what type of flavors you have?chocolate? Abi Vanilla? Abi macademia nut, white chocolate? Ok maybe that’s too much… let’s try the price N3500 ($21) for a single cookie. Ok if I would like to buy a dozen, will I pay N42,000 ($262) or do I get a discount the more I buy.
