Bestman Games hosts the Christmas Inter-School City of Lagos Monopoly Tournament in LagosPosted on Tuesday, December 17th, 2013 at 12:55 PM
In support of personal financial literacy in schools, the City of Lagos Edition of Monopoly Inter-School tournament was an exciting school social event held at Terra Kulture in Victoria Island on Tuesday 10th December 2013.
The grand cash prize of N500,000, sponsored by First Bank of Nigeria Plc, was awarded to Umoh Blessing, a 10 year old pupil of Caro Foundation School, Ajegunle. Blessing also received 365 days worth of meal vouchers from Sweet Sensation eatery as well as a super-size City of Lagos Monopoly board for her school, courtesy of Bestman Games.
Online retailer Jumia.com sponsored the second prize which was awarded to Ndu Godfrey of Top Grade Secondary School, Surulere. The third prize was won by Ayotunde Olaita of Fountain Heights School who received 180 days worth of meal vouchers from 3 Cousins and a Crook BBQ, Lekki.
To mark its 1 year anniversary, Bestman Games, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility will donate City of Lagos Monopoly boards to the students of the winning school. With the support of Lagos State Government and Junior Achievement Nigeria, Bestman Games is using this medium to present some basic lessons in resource management by educating students especially, about the importance of financial literacy and the encouragement of personal financial responsibility.
