TB-Joshua

Every new year, pastors and various ministers of God share with their congregation the blueprint of the year – Prophecies.

These prophecies are meant to guide Christians on living their best and how to avoid being victims of the negative aspects of the prophecies.

The very outspoken Prophet TB Joshua of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) also revealed his. He spoke on various issues including the political system of the country, the airline industry and a whole lot more jaw dropping revelations.

Freelance Nigerian journalist Ihechukwu Njoku who is based in London, witnessed the cross-over programme. He shares his account of the event with BellaNaija.com.

Read Ihechukwu Njoku’s account of the event;

Renowned Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua has declared 2014 as a year of “crossing the bridge”, prophesying it to be a year of destiny where corruption would be corrected in Nigeria as corrupt leaders would go down.

It was an electric atmosphere in The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) where large crowds thronged to usher in the New Year 2014. T.B. Joshua came out around 11pm to deliver his much anticipated prophetic message in a broadcast beamed live via the churches popular television station Emmanuel TV.

He first counseled believers to stay steadfast in faith despite the challenges that would arise in the coming year. “We are tempted so that we may pray the more. Afflictions are meant for our spiritual benefit,” he encouraged the congregants and television viewers.

Moving on, he spoke about what was to be expected in the New Year, attendees listening with rapt attention and scribbling notes as he spoke. “This New Year 2014 is not like any other year in the past. It is a year of crossing bridge. To cross the bridge, you need to grab onto faith,” he began. “This is not going to be easy for the mighty. Many of the mighty will fall. Pray for them. The rich, famous and popular people – many will fall this 2014 because crossing the bridge is not going to be easy; they need God. Many of them believe it is their own making to be great in their own area of expertise.”

He went on to decry the effect this ‘fall’ would have on the business world as, according to him, “98% of businesses and companies are owned by these people.” Specifying a field of business that would especially be affected, he said the airline industry would face multiple challenges, leading to an unprecedented rise in ticket prices, particularly noting that African airlines would be most affected. Joshua further declared 2014 to be a year of destiny for those would ‘follow the ways of the Lord’. “Many people that are not known will be rise by destiny,” he prophesied.

Talking about the current Nigerian political situation, Joshua said, “There will be a leadership tussle on who will lead and who will be presidential candidate in APC which will affect them as a political party. They should be vigilant. Many are with them in flesh but not with them in spirit.” Talking about the current crisis Nigeria’s ruling party PDP are embroiled in, the prophet stated that they would ‘pay any price to unite’ but that the issue of who would be the presidential candidate would cause challenges.

“Many of the key leaders in political parties will go down in 2014,” Joshua then announced to the somber audience. “If many key leaders go down with 2014, what will now happen in 2015? Pray for 2015 to be fulfilled. The beginner is not the owner but the finisher.”

He then stated to thunderous applause that 2014 would see a positive improvement for the nation in the area of corruption. “What will happen in 2014 will result in the correction of the corruption in Nigeria because many corrupt leaders will go down in 2014.”

Joshua then prayed for the congregants who all lit candles to symbolize the dawn of the New Year. “God has promised that 2014 is the year of destiny. Your destiny cannot be changed. This New Year, your destiny cannot be tampered with. I command your dream to come true, your dream to come to fulfillment, in Jesus’ name.”

    • Jaydyte January 2, 2014 at 7:14 PM

      Yeah, whatever…
Check his last year’s prophecies, how many came true?

Please guys, before you latch onto this “gangster” prophecies of so called prophets, first check how many of their past prophecies came to pass. If it is true prophecy from the Almighty God, ALL of them would come to pass and not one word would fall to the ground i.e. fail.
It is only prophecies from psychics, witchdoctors and esoterics that randomly come to pass. The devil comes as an angel of light, to deceive. The Satan is a liar.

      • YB January 2, 2014 at 9:21 PM

Don’t be such a sadist. Don’t you know that some prophecies are said so that they can be avoided? The negative ones that is. If you did read well enough, you will note that he asked us to PRAY against some of the prophecies. Which means they can definitely be avoided. Except you don’t believe that God answers prayers though. Then you can cover you eyes with moi moi and pretend like you didn’t read anything

      • jcsgrl January 2, 2014 at 10:11 PM

    • Henry January 3, 2014 at 2:36 PM

This “prophecy” appears very vague when compared to
prophecies in the Bible. It is also interesting that people are
encouraged to “pray against” negative prophecies so I suppose if
these prophesies don’t come true it could be said that it was
because prayers were answered thus leaving the “prophets” integrity
in tact. I do not see no Biblical basis for this. When God sends a
prophecy via a prophet His word will not return to Him void. It
MUST be fulfilled. This kind of approach to prophecy makes a
mockery of the instrument of prophecy and if the “prophecy” does
not come to pass the speaker has prophesied falsely.

      • John January 6, 2014 at 6:02 PM

Pls some prophecies in d bible were conditional. God said in Ezekiel 33.14-15 “when I say to the wicked, thou shall SURELY die; if he turn frm his sin… He shall SURELY live, he shall not die”. U can also remember the prophecy of Jonah to Nineveh, God did not do wht he promised bcos they repented. So u c, God can be implored to change His mind. Moses made God changed His mind severally. Judge him on though prophecies that r unconditional i.e without any tag for “praying agst”. May God teach us beta.

      • EMMANUEL January 27, 2014 at 8:33 AM

THE PURPOSE OF PROPHECY IS TO LEAD THE PEOPLE TO GOD. THE PRAYER IS THE SOLUTION TO ALL. IF THE PROPHECY IS NOT FULFILLED IT MEANS GOD HAS ANSWER THE PRAYER AND NOT THE PROPHECY WAS NOT TRUE

        • Yannik February 22, 2014 at 9:20 PM

          Well said Emmanuel! :)

    • erick January 3, 2014 at 7:10 PM

God still speaks to His servants its only when you receive
a prophet then he becomes a prophet to you and you get a prophet
      reward

    • Lamaco January 4, 2014 at 9:10 AM

It is only God Almighty that knows tomorrow. If the prophecyis true let him mention those that will be affected. Beside, it is a common sence that APC and PDP will have challenge in selecting whowill flag their banner. Just let us pray to God for best thing to happen to this country, Nigeria.

You think he is a false prophet and he has archived so much success in his ministry career?
How ever whatever he is being positive in the things he is saying, it is not in our hand to choose who is called and who is not only believe on the word of God and do what God required,

    • John January 6, 2014 at 5:57 PM

my destiny is free in the name of Jesus I will arise and shine this may year. want ever thing that was holding me back this is my year of breakthrough and I will see my destiny in Jesus name thank you man of God for the prophesy.

    • Gani David January 13, 2014 at 12:26 PM

It’s true that some prophesies are conditional while others are not;negative ones are meant to be prayed and acted against while positive ones are meant to be prayed and acted in favour of. For instance,God’s prophesy over Nineveh was a negative one and Jonah was sent and Nineveh repented, thus,it did not come to pass. Also,a long and severe famine broke out in Isreal and Prophet Elisha prophesied that the famine would end the next day with foodstuff selling at cheap prices and it came to pass.Lastly, God instructed Joshua to lead the Isrealites to the promised land, they prayed and acted His words and it came to pass. What we ought to do now is to pray in favour of the positive ones and against the negative ones. As for me,am much interested with being one of those who would be thrown into limelight as situations playout. God bless Nigeria!
