To Love Forever: Omotade Sadare & Funmilade Alalade Wed

A quick visit to see friends at their university turned out to be a destined trip as Funmilade Alalade met his love Omotade Sadare during that whirlwind weekend away.

After four years of friendship and love, Omotade and Funmilade celebrated their traditional engagement on Sunday 9th of October 2011 at the University of Lagos Multipurpose Hall. The culturally rich ceremony was a grand event with the hall swathed in festive green, red and gold tones. Amidst the dancing, music and all the joyous moments, Omotade and Funmilade’s engagement was confirmed with all the traditional rites completed.

At the Cathedral Church of Christ in Marina, Lagos on Saturday 15th October 2011, Omotade and Funmilade’s life of marital bliss began as they were joined as husband and wife. The beautiful bride, Omotade captivated everyone’s attention as she looked gorgeous in her strapless wedding dress with laser cut layers accentuated by standout crystal applique detailing. With her hair styled into a contemporary chignon accessorized with a dazzling hairpiece, snowflake diamond earrings and an embellished cathedral length veil, Omotade’s bridal look was nothing short of dreamy! Funmilade completed the perfect pair in his classic black tuxedo with an white bow-tie and matching boutonnière.

After the church blessing, the wedding celebration moved to the reception. With a white palette, lilac tones and silver accents, Omotade and Funmilade’s reception had an elegant winter-inspired ambiance. Excitement and joy filled the hall as the couple thoroughly enjoyed their special day surrounded by their family and friends.

BN wishes Omotade and Funmilade a blessed union with each day bringing forth renewed joy and divine favour.

Please what is the average cost of a wedding like this? I never find girl but I need to start preparing because all this don’t look cheap at all.

I love the fact that it was simple and elegant and no need for all that extra show-off that has become the custom in Nigeria these days. Why break the bank for a wedding and then return to 9 -5 and labor continuously when the money can be given to husband to start a small company and begin plan for his new family.
