2012 Arise Magazine Fashion Week: Bridget Awosika presents “Passage to Nirvana”

It was one of the most eagerly anticipated runway presentations at the 2012 Arise Magazine Fashion Week. Bridget Awosika showed off her softer side this season with a vibrant mix of pieces. Bridget deviated from her signature structured style and delivered a collection with a more relaxed silhouette. BA fans should not worry though as she maintained her fashion-school-grad style cred with unusual shapes and cuts.

I honestly do not see the vision behind bridgets designs, they are nice and well cut pieces, but what is the vision behind her designs, i am not. Impressed sadly 🙁

Okay now I see what peope have been talking about. Its definitely one of the best at Arise this year for sure. Her pieces are just fatastic. She really understands that modern grown and sexy and this collection shows her growth as a desigNer. I really hope she will be in New York or London this september.

I like some these pieces. Always been a fan of Bridget. I’m proud of her.
I don’t like two/three of her models’ hair. I wish these black models did not have those ugly/messy bangs weaves on their head. What a distraction. Maybe it’s the pictures but I don’t like the bangs on the black models.

@ms jaiye , if the photographs didn’t do her designs justice that means other designers too prob have the same dilemmas , I really liked the last blue spiderman inspired jumpsuit….I can see that on a Kelly Roland…

I am a huge Bridget Awosika fan and I’m so in love with this collection. She brings it all the time and what I also love about her is her sophisticated and effortlessly sexy persona. Its all in her clothes too *swoons*

I love you Bridget Awosika!!!! My goodness I was blown away at the show and I just felt so proud knowing we have african designers with this type of taste and aesthetic. I felt like she brought new york or paris to me. The colors, the cuts, the cohesiveness, the flow…woww! I see her designs get simpler and even more refined each collection.

I love the softness, colors and cuts on these clothes. Could some of our celebs (as in actual celebs) get some deals with these designers to promote their clothes, or at least purchase and wear their clothes.

Im not a fan of cutouts, but I adore her pieces that are flowy… Nothing screams graceful, curvy, Woman, better than a flowy/airy dress or top. The addition of the cape to the blue jumpsuit conveys the same…. though I dont think anyone would wear the cape 🙂
