  • Daisy April 17, 2012 at 10:23 am

That logo looks wrong! More like one for a cult and blaspheming against Christianity.

  • Yomi April 17, 2012 at 10:29 am

the word Jagermeister from Germany means ‘’Hunt Master’’.The famous Jagermeister logo of a stag and a gleaming cross is derived from the legend of St. Hubertus, the patron saint of all Hunters in Germany.
Today; according to Impact International 2011 report, Jägermeister is one of the top ten best-selling premium spirit brand globally. The secret of this success was and continues to be the unique character, Jagermeister provides glass for glass, an unforgettable experience

    • Ginika April 17, 2012 at 1:59 pm

Excellent research. Doesnt change the way the logo makes me feel when I look at it.

It creeps me out a little, tiny, winky bit.

    • Rook April 17, 2012 at 2:03 pm

    • lolly April 17, 2012 at 4:26 pm

  • Alero April 17, 2012 at 11:41 am

Dear Anti-Baphometh, thank u so much for your observation.I all honesty, before now, I had never heard of the word “Baphometh”. I just googled it and I see I have a lot to read about.

Thanks BN for the comment section. It could be sometimes more educative and interactive than the main post.

  • Alero April 17, 2012 at 11:43 am

    sorry, *in all honesty*

  • gbebs April 17, 2012 at 12:07 pm

  • kaykay April 17, 2012 at 12:11 pm

Test tubes are used for shots in some clubs and bars outside Nigeria. Besides, wine glasses are for wine and I believe it says Jagermeister is a liqueur

  • jenny April 17, 2012 at 12:57 pm

The whole ceremony or party or whateva has this dark feel to it,looks like a ritual,Screams demonic to me anyways

  • Purpleicious Babe April 17, 2012 at 1:11 pm

The LOGO looks wrong… whatever the excuse, reasoning and ideas. IT LOOKS WRONG.PERIOD.

so it means nigerians have a lot of disposable income to be spending on such.
I assume with more alcohol introduced into the Naij market, I sure do hope there are laws in place to caution restrictions. Anyhoo, what do I know… its Naija.

  • Bolda April 17, 2012 at 1:15 pm

Demonic logo sa!!SMH @ some folks!

  • cynthia April 17, 2012 at 1:31 pm

This drink thrives very well in developed countries and you would agree with me if you are well travelled and have visited clubs/bars outside….. As someone rightly said the famous Jagermeister logo of a stag and a gleaming cross is derived from the legend of St. Hubertus, the patron saint of all Hunters. It’s clearly different from Baphometh which has three horns and a star on it!
Hubertus was a Christian saint, the patron saint of hunters, a mathematician, an optician etc …read it up yourself; and hey don’t judge a book by its cover:

  • Jay April 17, 2012 at 1:38 pm

everything about this launch is DEMONIC!!!!!!!!!! Did u all notice the test tubes? the colour of the drink? the logo? commonnnnn…. Bella, u got religious people on this blog…..This isnt rigth at all… bella better post my comment o

  • chexbarbie April 17, 2012 at 2:10 pm

    illuminati finally in naija.

  • Bex April 17, 2012 at 4:27 pm

Google Baphomet and see the REAL Baphomet image. All I see is a stag with antlers which is pretty obvious to everyone with an eye. SMH. nothing wrong getting your facts right before commenting.

  • Dayo April 17, 2012 at 4:33 pm

Baphometh ko, baprohet ni! Nigerians are always overburdening themselves with the supertitious.. er, sorry ‘religious’ hangups of other folks.

  • miss kay April 17, 2012 at 6:23 pm

that usher is such a happy child….so eager! is that Joseph Benjamin or just his undiscovered twin?hehe

  • bella mafia April 17, 2012 at 6:29 pm

looks like a deer with antlers to me, nothing like a baphomet … so relax people

  • allen April 17, 2012 at 6:30 pm

  • christy April 17, 2012 at 6:46 pm

Drink s d thing, without it, dere wld be so many sadist

  • konnie April 17, 2012 at 7:03 pm

Nothing wrong with the logo. Patronized them or move on to something else. You people keep starting and spreading bad info based on ignorance. I don’t know them or I am not writing because the defense is personal. Grow up all of you. if you actually saw something iffy you most likely won’t recognize it

    • good deeds April 18, 2012 at 9:19 am

Yeah Konnie, I will mos def “Patronized” them!!

    • Tiki April 18, 2012 at 2:51 pm

    Bad branding!

  • molly April 17, 2012 at 10:49 pm

Didn’t know we were in Hawaii…………..

  • Lady Godiva April 18, 2012 at 1:25 am

This is why there is always need for research and re-branding, as you can see from the comments, the average Nigerian (even the ones with internet) is very superstitious even when it has been explained here several times and the image in no way looks “demonic”…smh. jagermeister should have rebranded for the new market, because it seems there no mind changing here as people are thinking its demonic. How silly…thankfully no one has brought up illuminati as with the regular comment on linda ikeji when readers are ignorant of what they can’t explain.

  • sandra April 18, 2012 at 3:03 am

gosh!! like seriously why do naija girls hv a pot belly ”lmao’ nd a lot of shaki, pomo n abordii around there waist nd lower abdomen,,its just ugly! ewwwwwwwwww

  • nkelly April 18, 2012 at 8:55 am

Please people, this drink is very well known and established abroad , dunno were this talk of baphomet is coming from…..nijerians ,hmmm

  • jay April 18, 2012 at 1:19 pm

sorry guys but the fact that something is well established abroad shouldn’t make it acceptable here, its our “follow the crowd” mind-set that often puts us in trouble……for me, a cross is a sacred symbol and shouldn’t be used carelessly,if the symbol is considered holy in any way then it shouldn’t be on a liquor bottle, whether its an issue of poor branding or demonic, its just wrong!!!….please open your eyes.

  • Oly April 18, 2012 at 4:42 pm

l like the concept n that it was not the usual crowd that attend event. Nice one.

  • nkelly April 20, 2012 at 11:53 am

Its good we have something different sometime, and not the samething all of the time, a good concept

  • Cicero April 21, 2012 at 5:51 am

Reading the comments of people shows our level of reasoning in this part of the world, there is nothing satanic about the logo if u properly look @ it. I have been taking the drink and I think its one of best liquor around now, was also @ the party it was not an ocult gathering but that of mature, enlightened and upwardly mobile Nigerians! Jargermiester is the drink of the time especially the jargerbomb luv it!

  • Terry April 25, 2012 at 2:40 pm

Nigerians open your eyes wideopen, this is real Baphometh logo, such drink would initiate you to the Illuminati spirit realm. Cross sign is a holy symbol what the hell is it doing on the alcohol bottle? God save our souls. The logo has sun ray behind cross and baphomet head… wake up Nigerians…

  • johny March 4, 2013 at 3:05 pm

So if its the occult why not join it, it looks fun! Naija people, if na local cult like campus cult una for don join since. Now it is international one you guys are bad mouthing it like say na you holy pass. But seriously Jager has been arround for such a long time for drinkers who’s got class. I have travelled around Europe, American and Africa the last in Cape town and Kenya and i saw and drank Jagermiester. Why worry, it doesn’t kill, and if its about the occult? maybe am already initiated but i enjoyed it.
