Olusegun Mimiko Declared Winner of Ondo State Governorship Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has today declared Dr Olusegun Mimiko, the Labour Party candidate and incumbent governor of Ondo state as the winner of the Ondo State governorship election held yesterday.

The INEC returning officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Adebiyi Daramola announced that the incumbent governor won 260,199 votes from the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.

The PDP’s candidate, Olusola Oke followed with a total of 155,961 votes while ACN’s candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu polled a a total of 143,512 votes.

This implies that Dr. Mimiko gets a second term as the Ondo State Governor.
